Tex is the smallest of the tabby boys and on the three occasions I have taken him to the vet to get checked out because I thought he was too skinny, each time they told me, 'he is a perfect specimen
of a cat and every cat should look like him.'
I guess I am just used to chunky, big boned cats lol
Tex is that kind of cat that if something is going to happen or you have to rescue a cat, it will be him.
I always thought he was naughty but have come to realise that is just who he is.
I came to this realistion on one of our walks.
He followed me down to the bridge on our mowed path. On each side there is really long, thick grass. Tex is ahead of me and out of nowhere he does this leap into the grass just because.
He is so light and the grass so thick he had only bent it a little and was bouncing on it.
It made me laugh because he simply did that for fun.
Out of the other 4 cats I took, he was the only one who did it.
When I look at the photos of my tabby boys they look like grown cats but they still really are just kittens.
Makes me wonder how big they are actually going to get.
This is Tex, the youngest, the smoociest and Critter's favourite.
Out of the three he is the calmest and totally ok with strangers, he likes new people and I think I may be able to take him in Critter's back pack . Tom and Ted, no chance.
Notice Tex's stripes are broken up which makes it appear he that has spots. Also Tex has the thickest tail...

Thank you so much ! ; )
He was "mine" for about four months while I was temporarily living with a family in rural Washington State. Every day I groomed him and rode him and I was in heaven! Tex had been a somewhat neglected unwanted horse whose owner had agreed to move him to the property so that the German girl (me) would have a horse to fuss over.
Tex thrived and his coat became shiny. My riding him around the area was like free advertising - and a buyer came forward. I vividly remember watching the horse trailer as it drove off with Tex in it. It was not the first time I experienced this heartbreak, nor the last. I felt so powerless and helpless.

Hoy he vuelto al Rancho Texas con mi hermana, que no lo conocia, y otra vez me he enamorado de este tierno gaton blanco. Con esa carita, ¿quien puede creer que sea un fiero tigre?
