ARM's tethered balloon system (TBS) is pictured during a flight as part of the Coast-Urban-Rural Atmospheric Gradient Experiment (CoURAGE). CoURAGE, which is planned to operate from December 2024 to November 2025 in Baltimore, Maryland, seeks to determine the degree to which Baltimore’s atmospheric environment depends on interactive feedbacks in the atmospheric system and conditions in the city depend on the surrounding environment.
