My first Lego stop motion test. I think it came out quiet well. Constructive criticism is appreciated. Link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPgIoIowYoA
Testing different lenses for zoom and ease of use.
Think the Sony SEL55210mm on the a6000 is the easiest.
See the EXIF on each image.
Tested the built in HDR mode of the RX100. This one is quite OOC. I just turned down the yellow in Lightroom a bit.
I normally do not like HDR - but this one looks quite pleasing.
Ricoh TLS 401, Fuji Superia 400 (accidentally shot at 200. Oops!), Auto Sears 55/1.4 w/ Camron UV filter. Negatives Scanned.
Test roll through the camera body that apparently has seen no use since 1984. The meter doesn't work, so I used the LightMeter app by David Quiles Amat on my Galaxy Note II.
Disclaimer in regard to focus: WOW this thing's viewfinder is terrible. The waist-level finder is OK, but small. The eye-level finder is practically impossible, plus mine is cracked and filthy inside... Just crossed my fingers and fired the shutter.

This is a test shot of Bridgelux Vero 18 35W LED module, p/n BXRC-30H4000-F-03. This LED is advertised as having CRI 97 and 4000 lm luminous flux, which is equivalent to characteristics of 150W halogen lamp. Color temperature should be about 3000K.
This photo was taken in complete darkness without any optics covering LED module. Paper with pastel swatches was located in about 100mm from the module and set at 45º to its axis. Camera was set to 3200K color temperature and I had to close the diaphragm pretty much to get this paper properly exposed.
As you can see, color balance is a bit off the uniform in reds, but it's normal for high CRI LEDs because of wider "red hump" in their spectrum. At least, it's not worse than "orange hump" of halogens. 3000K seems to be real number too. Swatches are bright and equally lit, which is impossible with regular LEDs, having CRI 72 or even worse, which is equivalent to cheap fluorescent tubes.
To prevent overheating, I've used HP server CPU passive heatsink, p/n 409498-001 (bought used one from eBay for less than $10). It keeps the LED temperature just above the body temperature, so it's a kind of overhead, which I expected - this heatsink is intended for CPUs with TDP more than 65W. It means, I can use smaller cylindrical one with small (40mm) fan.
Close-up focus test of the new Nikon 1 V3 stock kit lens "NIKKOR VR 10-30mm". These tomatoes are only about 1.5 inches wide (3.81 centimeters).
Testing Lamy ink for review. This is a test on an index card. See the notes for what the bits are. Next pic in the photostream is more testing - same stuff in a Moleskine, and the PigPog Smudge Test.
The plan is to do this same pattern with a few different inks, as a way of comparing. If anyone's got any ideas on better ways of doing it, I'd love to hear them.
testing out the new bees with a self portrait...

Taken with my new Ricoh GRD III. I went out at lunchtime today and had a walk around sheffield. I was looking to test the performance of this amazing little camera.
All these shots are straight out of the camera.
Straight out of the camera, no post processing at all. "Subjects" at 125m (375ft) away. Focus on the white column at center. The pic was taken at a slight angle, it's not uneven. Look at it at full size.
My new test-setup for lens-testing. Read more about this at Camera Labs
Watch out: This is only a 2792 x 3956 crop from the full frame, covering approx. a quarter of the sensor.
There was a really simple device for testing for the level of contamination on your shoes and hands.
Molly’s black belt test begins with a written test, which she’s been studying for for years. Questions include things like who created the Kyokushin style of karate, where, and in what year.
