“I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time. Like tears in rain…” – Roy Batty
Description and divinatory notes coming soon.

The finish is laser jet on printer paper, adhered with Mod Podge. Acrylic clear coat. I used some of the acrylic on the printed design to seal it and prevent running before adhering it with Mod Podge.
The sides were brushed before finishing. The raw enclosure had some nasty marring that needed to be buffed out.
Designed and folded by me out of copy paper.

This design was 432 units. This design is a fractal of 36 cubes based off of Francecso Mancini's 6 cubes. The paper proportions were modeled by the original 6 interlocking cubes by Francesco Mancini (link below). They came out perfectly accurate to his original design. However, his original design was made loose for an easier assembly and thus my design is a bit loose. If I were to refold this, I would make it slightly tighter. It is definitely doable with the way I assembled it.
I call this design "Tesseract" since I believe it has a 4 dimensional feel to it and a tesseract is a 4 dimensional cube. The connection is purely artistic though. The color scheme is experimental here but I believe it came out very well in these photos for my artistic intentions here. I am not aware of any geometrical relation this design has to an actual tesseract unfortunately.
As for future variation on this design, I think replacing the macros with arrays instead of Francesco's 6 cubes could yield a beautiful design as well. I don't think I will do this anytime soon so I leave it up to whoever wants to do it. If I ever get time to do a variation on this design, I will probably try to interweave the cubes outside their macro sets for additional visual complexity instead of an array.

A test rendering in Bryce 6.1 utilizing the Global Illumination setup of my fave object... the tesseract... a 3 Dimensional 'shadow' of a 4 Dimensional object. And I placed a glass sphere inside for refraction rendering effects.
