There are two members' terraces, either side of the café, at Tate Modern. The other one is more popular as it looks out onto the River Thames. Both are rather chilly today
This week I'll present some photos of the "Pink Monday" of the yearly funfair in Tilburg, where LGBT people are most welcome and turn up in huge numbers. Also many T-girls are present and almost everybody wears pink. After walking in the bright sunshine over the funfair me and my friends Louise and Robert enjoyed some refreshments on a shady terrace.
Albert Terrace is one of the oldest streets in Saltaire and still retains its original setts (cobbles). Some of the houses along here are three storeys high and were originally intended as shared lodgings for young single workers, but they apparently preferred lodging with families so, before long, these too became family homes. Overlooking the railway, church and open countryside, they have a very pleasant aspect.
William Henry Street and George Street had terraces of overlookers’ houses with taller boarding houses built at each end. The overlookers’ houses were the best appointed, having wider frontages and small front gardens, round-arched ground-floor openings with dressed stone heads. Internally they provided a sitting room, kitchen, scullery, cellar and three bedrooms. The taller, middle houses had four to six bedrooms.
Saltaire is a Victorian model village. The Victorian era Salt's Mill and associated residential district located by the River Aire and Leeds and Liverpool Canal is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site and an Anchor Point of the European Route of Industrial Heritage.
Saltaire was built in 1851 by Sir Titus Salt, a leading industrialist in the Yorkshire woollen industry. The name of the village is a combination of the founder's surname and the name of the river.

This shot comes from a roll of expired, and by the look of it, x-ray damaged, Ilford XP2 film. I loaded into my Canon EOS 500n, which I'd mounted the 1964 E.Ludwig "Meritar" 50mm f2.9 lens, via an adapter. The roll of film came, with some other rolls, from a generous flickr member.

Chichester Terrace is part of the Kemp Town Estate formulated by Thomas Reed Kemp, designed by Charles Busby & Amon Henry Wilds, and constructed by Thomas Cubitt. It was the last piece of the estate to be completed. All the houses have Doric porches surmounted by verandahs, but the terrace lacks a centre-piece.
Scandinavian Sea House MOC is a small - but functional - house by the sea. It is shaped like an L and located somewhere in the Swedish archipelago. Downstairs you find a small TV-room and kitchen next to a guest room and a laundry room. A storage space is hidden underneath the staircase, that leads up to the master bedroom. And now we come to the best part - the home spa! Here you find a Turkish bath and resting chairs in a peaceful environment with a panorama sea view. Double glass doors lead to the roof terrace outside.
I have walked a lot on my heels and now my feet hurt. Time to sit down on a terrace and have some refreshments. Of course I have ordered a glass of rosé wine; after all it is still Pink Monday.
A closer view of the terraced rice hills in Sapa. This was before the planting season, but we did see villagers working in the hills during our visit.

A closer look at the terraces from the previous shot. These are quite a work of engineering in some places
