#3 The cucumber tendril has found a squash leaf and is doing it's constrictor routine. I wonder how the leaf will reply?

The sea was reclaiming the shore, the ink-dark water gradually rising and falling like a slowly beating heart. I watched as the tendrils of sand released their grasp of the shoreline, the fiery glow of countless crystalline edges extinguished by the endless rhythm. As I stood alone on the empty shore I found myself pondering the wonders of such rhythms. The mysteries of the universe playing out before me.

I took a shot of tendrils of bindweed and honeysuckle reaching out across the path and it being Sunday.... I played - HSS!

The mix of light on the tree, the leaves, and snow all together was pretty on this very cold early morning in Maryland.

A wonderful woodland character.

Cucumber plant throwing out curly tendrils

Tendrils of a vine tangled in cobwebs and illuminated by the morning sunlight. I took this shot in my garden.

Taken shortly after my previous post as the sun started to poke its head above the landscape. The colour in the sky had faded but the soft light on the ferns and bark grabbed my attention. Set of 4x3 bracketed and then focus stacked images.

On a cold rainy winter day, wandering around Cumberland Island can be a little unsettling. Though beautiful, the oak trees create a dark canopy that shrouds the main road through the park. The tendrils of Spanish moss dangle and sway in the ocean breeze as if they were ghosts of past residents. The feral horses and wild hogs that roam the island will unexpectedly rattle the ferns and dash across the road in front of you. But at least they were not sneaking up behind you...
