HDR. This was a colour image. I converted it to monochrome, and made two copies, one darker and one lighter, using levels. Processing as an HDR image, I feel it gives a nice punchy contrast to the scene without looking too manipulated. ISO 1600, 1/15 second at full aperture of f3.2.

This is my parts girl, Hope. I couldn't handle her to be in pieces so had to put her all together temporarily until it's her turn to have her faceplate customized.

The temporary bridge was completely awash. Assuming the new bridge is still there / safe after the water recedes, it is fortunate the temporary bridge was here as a barrier. It was serving / hopefully is still serving admirably to hold back the pond, but I wonder how much of it will be eroded away by the time the water drops enough to see it.

It just takes a few seconds...I just stepped down to grab something from a shop, I was gone for a few minutes and I'd parked in a brightly lit area with lots of people around.

I simply forgot to take my camera out, now my beloved 3 month old Nikon D70s is gone..

Just in case anyone in Malaysia sees a D70s body with AF-S 18-70mm Nikkor f/3.5-4.5G ED DX kit lens for sale do check the serials for me. It was in a small black and green camera bag.

It's in mint condition of course and contained a Kingston 2GB CF card and has a Manfrotto quick release tripod plate on the bottom.

I hope this is a lesson to everyone and it doesn't have to happen to anyone else..it breaks my heart as I know it'll be sold to someone who doesn't care about cameras for peanuts..

Temporary Fence, Graham Guy-Robinson (2018)

Mirror polished stainless steel and powder coat

Part of the 250th Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts

In 2018, Grayson Perry RA and his committee of fellow artists handpicked over 1,300 artworks in an array of mediums.

The Summer Exhibition included a monumental sculpture by Anish Kapoor RA in the RA courtyard, while vast new works by David Hockney RA and Joana Vasconcelos appeared in the galleries. Artists Mona Hatoum and Tal R showed alongside Royal Academicians including Wolfgang Tillmans, Mike Nelson, Tracey Emin and Rose Wylie, and Honorary Academicians Bruce Nauman and Ed Ruscha.

They've chopped down all the trees and bushes, ready for the new cinema etc.

I couldn't see the sign to point out that the cycle route turns left here, so I added one.

Kind of strange. Doesn't look like it would survive if we had a big winter storm. The only thing I can find indicates that it might be just monitoring the amount of flow in the creek. I guess if you make all of the water go through one channel then you can measure it.

I was hoping that this would be a good spot for the kids to chuck rocks in the water, which is something they still like doing, but Jeremy seemed intent on trying to hit the dam equipment, even though he wasn't trying to, so we didn't stay long.

After Main 3 is relocated, these temporary platforms will be assembled in the space Main 3 previously occupied. They'll have to have these up in time for the Monday morning rush hour.

These are actually built at the back of the stage. The Producers only uses the front 20 feet or so of stage to ensure it fits into other stages when it goes touring.
