It is actually a temporary bus shelter, the new one is just behind me, but obviously someone has a sense of humour.
The photo was taken in August 2019 during the Eid ul Adha (Festival of Sacrifice) of Muslim community at Bangladesh. During this cattlemen brings there cattles, goats, sheeps to the city areas to sell them in the cattle market. Photos taken on a hike at and near Buntzen Lake on November 7, 2010. The lake is a BC Hydro lake and one of the turbines is currently out of service so the water level is extremely high. I abandoned my plan to hike the entire lake and took a scenic detour.
This is the trail you would usually take to cross the floating bridge to the other side of the lake. The bride is under water too.
While the kitchen renovation goes ahead and the porch-to-sunroom renovation is on hold pending the variance hearing on 10/16, RSI installed a temporary door retrieved from a totally different project.

Sidewalk and the new bike lane is temporarily closed along Samish for construction of Commons.
At the meeting, I suggested my alternate route on residential streets around the backside of Commons, but later, I found that one of those streets is closed also. The alternate route is a bit farther around.
Eventually the routes will open again.
They say the city is waiting to repave Samish till most of the construction is done. There's some debris and rough spots now, but it's better than it was before the bike lane was put in.
