It's September already. I feel as if it came too soon, and strangely it is as if I have been waiting for it.
It's been a trainwreck of a summer, all stinging and messy, that left me with torn up hands and a bruised heart.
But everything is temporary.
(this is scribbling on a picture. i'm not very good at this, but the words are sincere.)

I was taking a walk in Valenciennes when I found this cone. I took a look around me and I decided to stage it because I like this object, its colors, its shape ... I placed it on a light and the effect was super cool. It was really funny to see people intrigued by me, taking picture of such a normal object, placed in a situation like this.
Light is embellishing this object and creating a stunning scene rich in colors due to blue lights around and white light under the cone.

Downtown Tempe has seen an explosion of growth and development. Most property owners have succumbed to the profit potential and sold their land, but there a couple who are still fighting. I assume at some point soon this will no longer exist.

My husband and I were driving to the health club one afternoon, when we came upon this unexpected sight! I was so glad that I had my camera in the car because it was a totally unexpected thing to find!
Truck Sculpture: Penelope Awaits Her Chamberlain by American Artist John Himmelfarb.
This was an "art installation" on loan and parked on a street corner property in Orland Park, Illinois in 2014.
Penelope" no longer rolls down any highways, rather it is transported from one location to another.

This is an abandoned home in Ephrata, Washington. It's been empty for at least 20 years. I keep thinking someday someone is just going to tear it down and start over....
