We might reach 60s (16C) today. It is not supposed to freeze again here till Thursday and Friday, but with the state wide power issues in Texas, I decided I better upload today's photo early just in case.
I miss spending my winters along the shores of Lake Winnipeg. It was a bit lonely, but the scenery was amazing. This is a pressure ridge, basically a fault line in the ice, along which enormous sheets will slip and heave throughout the winter, creating amazing temporary mountain ranges.
I was taking a walk in Valenciennes when I found this cone. I took a look around me and I decided to stage it because I like this object, its colors, its shape ... I placed it on a light and the effect was super cool. It was really funny to see people intrigued by me, taking picture of such a normal object, placed in a situation like this.
Light is embellishing this object and creating a stunning scene rich in colors due to blue lights around and white light under the cone.

SN-61YG Poland Border Guard Let 410 climbing off runway 13 at Malaga. This aircraft was temporarily based in AGP for Frontex EU Border Operations. The aircraft is a LET L-410 UVP-E20. Two of the type operate with the Polish Border Guard service in Gdańsk. The Turbolet was designed for patrolling and monitoring traffic on land, sea, and air by utilising an Osprey 30 radar along with an L3 MX-15 EO/IR camera.

sometimes i experiment with cropping my photos into squares; sometimes the result pleases me. i love these neon signs, and really loving how this astia sim looks at night. i’m always trying to catch the smokers out on a break from their machines, but they’re a paranoid lot.
