These are all taken at the Tempe Town Lake. Home of the famous Submarine Races!

It's a huge event down here! ASU is a big college right in Tempe. I've always thought this was a really funny story... Apparently one of the traditions at that school is convincing the Freshman that they have these Submarine races in the lake. They try to sell them tickets for rides in the glass bottom boats… So they can watch the races!

Anyway, these were all taken last month during a boat parade, where a bunch of boats all covered with Christmas lights, circled around the lake.

July 4th is meant to be spent with family and friends. Even though I am without family out here, I was with some great friends (old, and new!). Had a great time watching the fireworks!
