As you can tell it was incredibly hazy down at Marine today and all over Edinburgh if i am being honest. I knew that i had to come down to Marine to see if i could capture some of the single decker's that i needed as i heard they would not be re entering service. So her from left to right is 151, 125 and 141. Both Lothian Buses 125 and 141 i have photos of at the Gyle Centre whereas i have not ever captured 151 so glad to find it situated at Marine with obvious fleet numbering.

Oh, I don't wanna fade away
Tell me what can I do, what can I say?
'Cause, darling, I don't wanna fade away"

Macro Monday: #Hobby
A hobby most of us enjoy: listening to music. As Nietzsche already said: "Without music, life would be a mistake." While this is a 45 rpm Beatles single (a very early recording of "Skinny Minnie" / "My Bonnie" with Tony Sheridan, 1962, but published on Polydor as "late" as 1968; the sleeve shows The Beatles very young, all clad in leather like rockers, probably taken in the days when they regularly played at the Cavern Club in Hamburg) which I got when I was a kid (the single, I mean), I thought that this actually looks like the cover of a ca. 1978 LP, the debut of, let's say, the then upcoming and most promising, if not to say hot Punk-Prog Band Poly d'Or: "A Case of the Mondays". An elaborate, most intricate, deeply philosophical (in a Punk-Prog way) concept album / Punk opera about a guy called Sir Bob who wakes up one Monday in a shrinking world, and... Do you really want to know how the story goes on? No, of course not, because you all know it, and experience it every week. Groundhog Monday :-) (And please note, I didn't mean to include the sad story that inspired the real life Sir Bob [Geldof] to write his band's greatest hit; this is all about MMs and fun.)
Hoffentlich.)

The frame tale goes that every day the king Shahryar would marry a new virgin, and every day he would send yesterday's wife to be beheaded. This was done in anger, having found out that his first wife was betraying him. He had killed three thousand such women by the time he was introduced to Scheherazade, the vizier's daughter.Scheherazade volunteered to spend one night with the King. Once in the King's chambers, Scheherazade asked if she might bid one last farewell to her beloved sister, Dinazade, who had secretly been prepared to ask Scheherazade to tell a story during the long night. The King lay awake and listened with awe as Scheherazade told her first story. The night whiled away, and Scheherazade stopped in the middle of the story. The King asked her to finish, but Scheherazade said there was not time, as dawn was breaking. So, the King spared her life for one day to finish the story the next night. So the next night, Scheherazade finished the story, and then began a second, even more exciting tale which she again stopped halfway through, at dawn. And so the King kept Scheherazade alive day by day but at the end of one thousand and one nights, the King had fallen in love with Scheherazade. He spared her life, and made her his Queen.
The arrival of the bride
I was meeting a friend in town today and my route took me through the Royal Pavilion Gardens. Just in time to witness the recording of a TV programme called 'Don't tell the Bride'. I've never seen it but I can only presume it's a bit of a tongue in cheek programme as it came across as mix between Don't tell the Bride and the Only Way is Essex.
hey roy, let's go eat.
sure. you drive.
ok. car's right here.
what? in there?
yeah. there a problem?
I mean, they let you?
it's mine. don't need permission.
cool.
taxes are a bitch though.
tell me about it.
yeah?
that tower over there is not cheap.
c'mon! I gave you a good price.
yeah, but still.
An Andean bear rests her head on her (very large) paw, appearing to offer an ear to listen to your problems. I probably wouldn't take her up on that offer.
I'm looking for a bit of inspiration tonight to go with soma.fm. There is a pretty good mix on right now, "Sounds From The Ground."

The darker mornings and nights a sure sign that the seasons are changing , with autumn on its way the trees at Parkgate are beginning to change colour.
Passing through is 66769 with a completely off route 6E97 Bardon Hill - Tinsley Yard loaded stone . Rather than direct to Sheffield via the Midland Main Line , the train was routed off the MML at Tapton Jct travelled via Barrow Hill and Masbrough and is seen having run round in Kilnhurst Goods Loop . It will eventually arrive at Tinsley via Shepcote Lane Jct rather than Broughton Lane Jct .

"Somebody should tell us, right at the start of our lives, that we are dying. Then we might live life to the limit, every minute of every day. Do it! I say. Whatever you want to do, do it now! There are only so many tomorrows."
This is the same alligator that appeared in the background of the capture of the Tri-colored Heron. At first, I thought it was a female because a few feet down the bayou was an exceptionally large male, but it might also be a male. No way to determine when they are this size, but I do know that there’s a bit of the tail missing on this particular beast. Doesn’t matter whether it’s a male or female because when they are this size, they are lethal no matter what sex they are. This one didn’t stick around and made a banzai launch into the bayou which I failed to capture. The one thing you can count on with an alligator is that they are unpredictable.
