It has been a while since I posted something.
Got busy traveling and working 12-hour shifts.
Luckily while I was commuting back from work, I saw this scene on the highway and I immediately stopped on the side of the road to shoot it.

Microwave communications tower: all the dishes and horns were removed long ago leaving the tower looking bare.
Cast-iron utility vault cover, probably installed in my neighborhood when the nearby homes were built in the mid-1950s.
Formed in 1877 and broken up into regional companies ("Baby Bells") in the early 1980s, the Bell System dominated the telephone industry in the United States for more than 100 years.

Recorded arriving at Göschenen in June 2016, the SBB Telecom GSM-R [Global System for Mobile Communications-Railway] radio test vehicle X 60 85 99-90 108-9 was sandwiched between SBB Class Re 4/4" 11251 & 11258.
The coach is fitted with computer driven radio receivers to plot the GSM-R radio coverage across the Swiss standard gauge rail network. GSM-R delivers secure and dependable communications between drivers and signallers.

Máza brickworks. The kiln chimney has been adapted for new uses, with the new small building to the right. The brickworks, and narrow gauge, continue to function. 28th April 2015
