My new shutter has finally overcome its teething troubles, I hope at least, and it doesn't seem to be a FORD model any more.
When it worked, it did well, but it was very sensitive and occasionally failed.
(For the younger ones among you, FORD once stood for 'Fix Or Repair Daily')

I haven't ever seen a seal chopping on wood but this seal kept dipping it back into the water and chewing it. It was dusk, and when I first saw him come up I was hoping he had a fish!
Chewing on hard food is good for babies' developing jaw, and feeding themselves with their own hands helps them feel enthusiastic and independent about eating.
Stay close, though, in case your baby pokes himself in the eye with that carrot stick.
And once a coming tooth is visible, as a small, pale bump under the gum, be especially alert.
When its point breaks through, it will be so sharp that your baby could grate a tiny piece of that apple off and choke on it if you weren't there to help.
A warthog is identifiable by the two pairs of tusks protruding from the mouth and curving upwards. The lower pair, which is far shorter than the upper pair, becomes razor-sharp by rubbing against the upper pair every time the mouth is opened and closed. The upper canine teeth can grow to 25.5 cm (10 in) long and have a wide elliptical cross-section, being about 4.5 cm (1+3⁄4 in) deep and 2.5 cm (1 in) wide. Common warthog ivory is taken from the constantly growing canine teeth.
it's an amber teething necklace from the Baltic Sea, so light he doesn't even notice while it works its magic to make his gums not so sore. unfortunately, it doesn't alleviate issues with unflattering photos.
This little guy was having fun playing around, including picking up this small branch and gnawing away at it. For added perspective, you can see the bottom of mom's tail hanging down in the background.
Thanks for looking!

Little hippo girl (Hippopotamus amphibius) named "Devi" explores her world. Like many young animals, she explores with her mouth. Devi is also teething at the moment, so this behavior maybe very soothing for her. She was born 3/23/15 to mom "Funani" and dad "Otis" at the San Diego Zoo. Conservation Status: Vulnerable
86427 The Industrial Society pauses at Crewe on a southbound InterCity working coupled to DVT 82101, the Driving Van Trailers were less than 12 months old and often suffered from faults with the wiring connecting their controls with that of the loco which should be at the opposite end. 86427 would get a new lease of life as 86627 and was until recently still in operation with Freightliner and 82101 currently languishes at the Rail Technical Centre at Derby stored.
Last Saturday Metroline Ashton depot had again got themselves in some difficulty with many cancelled, or as TFGM put it suspended, journeys. 16 late afternoon and evening journeys on the 216 alone were cancelled along with the last hourly 230 through Littlemoss, wasn’t the golden rule, always run the last bus if nothing else. I really find it difficult to believe that after almost a month under TFGM control an operator can simply cancel journeys at will for two Saturdays in a row and TFGM ignore it as teething troubles, no contingency planning and bad management springs to mind.
Anyway, that aside for the second week running just four, First bus E400’s, I think with First drivers were drafted in and helped on the 216 from Picadilly to Ashton, obviously 4 were nowhere near enough looking at the number of lost journeys.
Proving someone had their eye on the ball this week, quite full First bus 33854 Ashton bound on a 216 runs in tandem with quite empty Metroline, but former Stagecoach Enviro 400, TEH134, MX62GNP also on a 216 to Ashton, the third is Ashton bound SA15VML another former Stagecoach vehicle but admittedly the 231 runs through Droylsden Littlemoss before it will reach Ashton bus station sometime after the 216.

Stadler Class 755 units have begin to settle down into service with Greater Anglia after several teething troubles during their first few months in service. On a rare opportunity to capture some pictures in the snow, 755415 speeds through Attleborough with the 1K77 1233 Norwich to Stansted Airport service.
There is nothing cuter than a Fox Kit.
I was on my way to shoot water fowl when we came upon a Vixen and her three kits just off the side of the road in a ravine.
I was all set up with my long lens so I didn't have to get too close for pictures. However this one kit was curious and started wandering closer to me. I ended up with one of my favourite images. The experience will stay with me for ever.

Short video clip of a Red Fox kit snacking on leaves - New Jersey
Looking through the videos recorded that day, it looks like this young fox was just playing around or looking for a teething remedy 😜 as I didn't see it actually swallowing any of them. If I remember correctly, right after this recording it came out and engaged in more playful game with one of its siblings😁 I posted a photo of them on my blog as well as 4K version of this video: www.greggard.com/blog/2022/2/red-fox-kit-eating-nj-video

When I was a child .... I got this teething ring as a birth gift. Now, almost 60 years later, I still have it in my possession :).
HMM!

The title is totally unrelated to this photo.
3rd photo I posted that I shot using the newly acquired D7200. In order to read the raw files of this new camera, I upgraded from Photoshop CS5 to CC as well. Even though it is the same camera system with only the body changed, I somehow feel that the handling of raw files is different from my old D300s, as well as the the photoshop new camera raw.
Guess I need a "teething period" to familiarise with all the changes.....

Seen shortly after arriving at the Redditch depot is one of two, at the time, Esteems. An issue with the emergency door alarm made the driver stop a few minutes out of town to try and rectify the issue, which he was able to do before continuing on to Smallbrook Queensway, Birmingham.
Diamond's PO58 KPX (30493) is seen parked at the Weights Lane bus stop on the Birmingham Road while operating a 146 towards Birmingham City Centre from Redditch Bus Station. The 146 operates up to every hour between the big city and Redditch. PO58KPX was new in October 2008 to Kent County Council, Aylesford (Kent Top Travel), where it was used on Canterbury Park & Ride services, as their 307. It then went to theSussexBus before it and sister KPZ (30494) were acquired by the Rotala PLC for use at Redditch. Since this photo was taken, sister KPY (30408) has moved across from Tividale. It is a Volvo B7RLE/Optare (East Lancs) Esteem.
