A visit to the seaside over Easter had me venturing into a Morrisons supermarket to grab some groceries. Predictably I headed over to the toy department which had clearly been ransacked already but in the near empty carton of Matchbox I did find this lone 2022 Renault Megane E-Tech.
Morrisons have been selling Matchbox singles for over two months yet strangely NONE of the ones in my area have bothered.
I'm still a big fan of this casting, cost cutted it may be but it hides it rather well and a welcome modern Eurocentric addition to the normally heavily American influenced Matchbox line up.

We all know how this ends
Up above the skylines
Drifting in and out around us
But I, I know, I know you're here
Can we rebuild everything?
I can see the angel dust
It's raining down upon us
So I know, I know, I know we'll be safe
We can rise through the fire
All roads paved in crushed-up skulls
Ride with me to the end of the world

These places are public so these photos are too, but just as I tell where they came from, I'd appreciate if you'd say who :)

Old tech was new tech at one time; even imaginary tech was the go. Aerogrammes, quill and ink bottle, pencil and paper, books, a compass thing - all tech
in the bustling heart of palma’s placa mayor, the spectacle of preparation for the EM public viewing takes a comedic turn. a large screen precariously balanced on coca-cola crates speaks volumes about the improvisational spirit of the local eateries. patrons lounge under the protective canopy, seemingly oblivious to the haphazard setup just a few feet away. the tattooed figure fiddling with a phone and the bemused expressions of onlookers add to the scene’s unintentional irony. this black-and-white capture isn’t just about a community gearing up for a shared event; it’s a snapshot of delightful chaos, where professionalism is a distant afterthought, and creativity reigns supreme in the most unexpected forms.

I found this in my old tech cupboard - an iPod generation 3 (16gb), first released in 2003. At first I couldn't find any way to charge it (I must have thrown out the charging cable in a fit of cleaning) but I remembered we still have a set of speakers that has a charging dock built in. It works fine, but the battery doesn't hold charge for long.
It was a pretty slick piece of technology for its day. It had more than enough capacity to hold all my CD collection, painstakingly ripped to iTunes. To have your entire music collection in one small unit was pretty amazing back then - to think you can now stream any song ever made through the Internet!
