Swag car No. 2 is one of the oldest TechEd items I have. This remote control car from Dell was a giveaway at TechEd 2003 in Dallas, the first year I attended.
This is a small car, under 3 inches. If you've ever used Dell PowerEdge servers, you will recognize the graphic on the base as a bezel from a server, a vintage 2003 server anyway. To start driving you remove the dome, detach the car, screw the antenna into the hole above the Del logo, and turn the base over. On the bottom are the controls for the car and you're ready to drive...I've only tried it out a couple times, but that little car will move! This was a popular item that year as you can imagine. You definitely had to queue up for this one.

A Food Truck & Technology Event in Downtown Orlando
Trucks & Tech is a mashup of two cultures that we love – foodies and techies. This is the only event around that combines discussion from leaders in the Central Florida tech community with top local food trucks to fill attendees’ minds and stomachs with the best of the best. For Trucks & Tech II: Trucktoberfest we have added a twist! This Oktoberfest themed event will feature German inspired food from each food truck, an all new Startup Alley, a costume contest and beer boots galore. So bring your lawn chairs, blankets and German spirit for a night of tech, food and fun.

The program has incredible potential. We've to test it out..
The overall trend seems to go into "collecting", "curating", and "showcasing" rather than creating content. Therefore experienced programmers like Hurley and Chen rebuilt delicious into a more curating online tool and included pictures of the archived link. The new program reminds you from far of flickr. As the new owners confess under "About": "Originally founded in 2003 as a social bookmarking service, Delicious was acquired from Yahoo! in early 2011 by AVOS, a company helmed by YouTube founders Chad Hurley and Steve Chen. The site was rebuilt from the ground up and re-launched in fall 2011 with a new focus on curation and discovery."
We see a similar development in online education.
Zotero is awesome without any doubt. But flickr can provide almost the same. The tools seem to be as universal.
Apropos curation: Most users find pleasure in curating creations of others, a kind of creativity on a lower level. A very few of these users go further. The free environment of curating initiates them to start their very own creations. Don't discriminate the limited activity of grouping and commenting other people's creations. During the curating process the idea might be born to begin your own creations.
