Defund the Humboldt Forum!
Demonstration am 20. Juli 2021 am Lustgarten / Schlossplatz gegen das Humboldt Forum im Berliner Schlossnachbau [das an diesem Tag seine offizielle Eröffnung feierte] und für die Rückgabe aller geraubten Objekte, die im Kolonialen Kontext nach Berlin kamen.
Den Veranstaltern fordern mit „Defund the Humboldtforum“ eine Umverteilung der 55 Millionen € Betriebskosten, die jährlich ins Humboldt-Forum fließen.
Die meisten Plakate stammen von Künstlern der Coalition of Cultural Workers Against the Humboldt Forum, die am Spreeufer 6, nahe am Humboldt Forum einen Aktionsraum eröffnet haben. Sie kritisieren den Umgang mit Kolonialismus und Raubkunst in Berlin, speziell im neuen Humboldt Forum.
Die Kritik richtet sich auch gegen den Nachbau des Hohenzollernschlosses (das dort an Stelle des Palastes der Republik erbaut wurde), deren Herrscher auch den deutschen Kolonialismus und seine Verbrechen zu verantworten haben, vor allem gegen die Schlosskuppel mit dem christlichen Kreuz und dem Bibelspruch über die Herrschaft der Christen.
