Thanks to the Musee Jacquemart-Andre in Paris and their excellent packing, my teacup made it home in one piece. It was really affordable and based on some china in the house/museum.
I overexposed this to get the teacups all blurry and then used RAW to lower the exposure. I think it came out really cool! Also the wide distortion looks great on this ride :-D

Closer view of the teacup and plate Huguette gifted to me!
A slight mishap, but special all the same.

The family dog, Yogi. A teacup Yorkie Terrier with a tongue that is too long for it's mouth -- what I love about this picture is the vast hardwood floors in the background of a tiny dog.
By the way... anyone ever heard of a Dorkie? No, I'm not talking about myself or your IT guy at the office.. they are a cross between a Yorkie Terrier and a Dachshund... just learned of these guys today.
Seems like a strange couple of breeds to cross, but they are pretty cute.
This teacup is a shot of life in the morning! I took the opportunity to use a bold blue and heavy orange make it come to life. I'm quite happy with it!
in the District Six museum, they have recreated an old District Six house. My mother freaked out when she walked in. 'But this is the house of my childhood' she exclaimed, transfixed by the candlewick beadspread and the brands in the kitchen cupboard.
The District Six Museum has a fantastic website, and I would encourage you all to look at it, and learn more about this fascinating and incredibly sad part of South African history.

p.s. sorry, I can't take credit for the lovely post processing, that's R's work.
