Teacup and teapot and my reflection.

Coming Feb.1st to The Gacha Garden! ♥

I love doing this type of photography to just my creative macro side

This was my mother's favourite teacup and saucer ~ she only used this on special occasions!! I'm not sure how old this will be but I do recall her drinking her tea from this when I was a young boy .... and that wasn't yesterday!

I ordered the TeaCup pouch from Patchwork Pottery and this is what I received... a lovely package with lots of goodies! Thank you soooooo much for everything, Laurraine, the package surely made my day!!! ps. That apple cinnamon tea is one of my favorites, reminds me of my year in Maine :).

Just seeing what kind of light I could get from using only candle light. I had to add extra candles that are outside the frame, and a white overhead reflector to get light onto the various objects

On a walk around Mona Vale gardens in Christchurch September 4, 2015 on a very cold windy day with Flying another Flickr friend.

Mona Vale, with its homestead formerly known as Karewa, is a public park of 4 ha in the Christchurch suburb of Fendalton. The homestead and gate house are both listed as heritage buildings with the New Zealand Historic Places Trust (NZHPT). The fernery and the rose garden, and pavilion with the setting of the park along the Avon River, add to the attractiveness of the property. It is one of the major tourist attractions of Christchurch.

I tried for awhile today to get a shot of steam rising from this little tea cup, but didn't succeed - had to resort to some PSE trickery - will have to have another go at it after I see what other lights I have hanging around the house.

Taken for:

Never Professional challenge - Have a Nice Cuppa...

Prompt Addicts - What's in you Cup?

Slider's Sunday 2/3/13 - not too much of a slide this week, just a bit of trickery - HSS!

ODT - Foreign

Thundercove Teacup - unfortunately erosion has removed the handle, this is all that is remaining.

Enjoy!

he made me miss disneyland !

this is probably my favorite rideeeeeee there (:

even though he says it makes him "puke." xD

for some reason, this looks like a picture from the ummm, 70's/80's/90's. lol, i'm not sure when xD but it looks like an old picture. hahha. because of the people, i guess ?

Finally jumping on the teacup bandwagon. But I don't think I can stuff any newborns in here! LOL This is Clover. Emma's new pet. When we were brainstorming names, Emma wanted "Clover" after one of our favorite songs, "I'm looking over a four leafed clover, that I've over looked before...." And I said, "Oh no cuz Rachel, my flickr contact, just named her baby that three weeks ago." Realizing this thought process was absurd to a six year old, we decided that Clover was a fine name for a hamster.

I can't seem to stop thinking I always need one or two or three more teacups. And I do drink from a different one each day, depending on what color I need a little bit of. And if I haven't drunk from one in a while, of course I can't let it feel neglected. :)

Playing around today with still life photos. Processed with Florabella actions and textures by Sarah Gardner.

For 2016: one photo each day (79/366) and for Macro Monday theme "inheritance". My wife inherited this miniature teacup from her grandmother, who collected these things. Although it appears to be made for a dollhouse, it bears the stamp of an English china maker, and was acquired from an antique store in New York City. For scale I placed a normal size coffee mug behind the teacup.
