These are just a few of the tea cups I recently finished - for another tea cup shaped book for the collaborative project we have going at LineWeaving.com
Here is my attempt at a fancier teacup since most look like they come from a farmhouse!. I used burgundy-red velvet and a dainty rose print... and fancied up the font for the tea tag. I didn't use the milk fabric in the middle because not everyone likes milk in their tea!
My friend Kim and I went to Teavana this (rainy) morning, and she purchased a set of their adorable sakura double-walled glass teacups. I traded her one of my cast irons for this glass one. :)
Today I'm drinking Harney & Sons Cranberry Autumn mixed with Teavana's Almond Biscotti.
I found this little treasure at a thrift store. I could see that it had been dropped a few times and thus it was no longer structurally sound enough to hold tea, but I brought it home to take its picture. I took a few good shots of the cup, then I had an epic episode of clumsiness and knocked the cup over. I broke the butterfly atop the handle clean off. I have since glued the butterfly back on. Is anyone out there interested in my impractical teacup?
The pattern for my TeaCup pouch will be published in a book by LARK called "Pretty Little Purses" due out in Fall 2008!
One of my favorites.
This is for Judy, who loves teacups, too.
