Dug out a picture of me last year when I was an anatomy TA at the University of Waterloo. Absolute fun course to teach and I loved my students!
This is me when I was 19 (Jan 86)
on my SR250 outside my parents home. I'm 41 now and not quite the biker chick any more. I'm a special needs TA who loves art & crafts
Kara (Beatles t-shirt) is one of my TA's this term. I have randomly run into her 4 times in the past week and joked yesterday "see you tomorrow" (as in, "there's no possible way we're going to be in the same place at the same time again") yet here she is at the festival with her roommate Annie. I seriously think she has placed a magnetic tracking device on my car even though I walked to the farm fest.
But they were headed to the new vintage clothing shop I didn't know about so this chance encounter paid off and reminds me that it's good to learn a thing or two from your students even as you attempt to edu-ma-cate them along the way.
