As bothies go this one isn't exactly the old stalker's cottage type, but rather a large shed, or more kindly a small hut. A wonderful location in the Coulin Forest, next to the Easan Dorcha with it's nearby falls, and it was very much appreciated by me on this day as I waited-out a half-hour downpour.

Theekoepel

Tea pavilion

Actually, the most beautiful interior of Rosendael is not found in the castle, but in the tea pavilion in the park. This was designed by Daniel Marot around 1725 on behalf of Lubbert Adolf Torck. Daniel Marot was a Huguenot who fled from France and entered the service of Stadtholder-King William III. He previously designed the belvedere on the Koningsberg and brought the French court style to the Netherlands.

The tea pavilion was called "The Little Salon" and is one of the beautiful garden ornaments of that time.

At the top of the pavilion we see four oil paintings representing the four seasons, painted by Abraham de Lairesse in 1727.

With its intricate interior decoration, this pavilion is one of the most important examples of garden art in our country.

One of the first places we visited in Beijing is a classical teahouse and theater called the Lao She Teahouse. It was as ornate as one might expect. There are places to sit down and have a relaxing tea (which I did not, but probably should have), and several different theater stages where you can watch folk operas and the like. I've already seen enough Chinese operas for a lifetime, so we skipped that part. This place is right by Tiananmen Square, so it is easy to walk to if you're already in the area. #80Stays #Beijing #China #Laoshe #teahouse

In the Ordway Japanese Garden, Como Park, Saint Paul Minnesota. The garden's design was a gift from the City of Nagasaki. The Teahouse was built using locally sourced materials.

The Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse was constructed in Dushanbe, Tajikistan and given to its sister city Boulder, Colorado. The teahouse was deconstructed and shipped in crates to Boulder where it was reassembled. Today, its a unique, privately-owned restaurant that serves over 100 teas and a fusion menu of foods/recipes from many parts of the world.

The façade shown in this picture has tile panels that were sculpted in Tajikistan, and cut into smaller pieces for shipment. The next two pictures show detail from the popular restaurant's interior.

(bouldercolorado.gov): "In 2009, Boulder began construction on the Cyber Café and Friendship Center in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. It's dedicated to the people of Dushanbe on behalf of the people of Boulder."
