The Taurus portion of the Bagdad railway built by Germans in the beginning of the 20th century is one of the busiest rail lines in Turkey. In 2014 the railway infrastructure did preserve some remains of the heritage, the semaphore in the foreground is one example.

Abschluss in Kirnstein: seit vielen Jahren sind die sog. "Brenner-Eurocitys" ab München Hbf mit Siemens Taurus Lokomotiven der Reihe 1216 (E 190) bespannt. Neben den Werbelokomotiven sind zumeist die gängigen roten Varianten (Italien-Flagge oder "part of the best") an diesen Fernverkehrszügen vorzufinden. Erfreulicherweise hat die ÖBB in letzter Zeit damit begonnen, einigen Loks ihrer 1216er Flotte ein RailJet-Desigh zu spendieren. Diese abwechslungsreiche Variante konnte am 18. Juni mit dem EuroCity 83 nach Verona Porto Nuova fotografisch festgehalten werden.
Most Eurocity trains between Munich and Italy are hauled by ordinary red ÖBB class 1216 locomotives. However, the ÖBB has recently started to re-paint some of its class 1216 locomotives in the so-called "RailJet-design" - fortunately 1216.017 was operating on EC 83 from Munich to Verona on 18 June 2019.

An unusual double heading on RCCI's freight train from S.Stino di Livenza to Tarvisio Boscoverde: two Taurus loks, first one with Achenseeschiffahrt advertising livery and second one in RailJet livery, are running between Portogruaro and Latisana.

Die 182 010 kam am 4. September 2004 mit einem gemischten Güterzug durch Sprötze gen Hamburg gefahren. Bis 2009 fuhren die Loks mit Güterzüge durchs Land, danach ging es zu DB Regio.
Voordat de DB Taurus locs in 2009 naar DB Regio gingen, reden ze met goederentreinen door Duitsland en Oostenrijk. Op de foto - van 4 september 2004 - is de 182 010 met een gemengde goederentrein naar Hamburg onderweg en wordt te Sprötze gefotografeerd.

Szárliget állomás bejáratához közelít az AWT tartályvonatával az 573-as Taurus, ami idő közben egy személygépkocsival történő ütközés következtében kigyulladt, de azóta ismét munkába állt.

Een van de doelen om naar het Inntal te gaan was de inzet van de laatste Eurocity's die met oude rijtuigen reden. Vanaf 4 november worden (planmatig) alle treinen naar Italie over de Brenner gereden met de nieuwe railjet stammen.
Hier komt OBB 1216 015 die reclame maakt voor de trein verbinding naar Italië met Eurocity 87 langs de 2 fotografen onderweg naar Bologna.
