The bull was commonly the symbol and depiction of ancient Near Eastern storm gods, hence Taurus the bull, and hence the name of the mountains. The mountains are a place of many ancient storm-god temples.[6] Torrential thunderstorms in these mountains were deemed by the ancient Syrians to be the work of the storm-god Adad to make the Tigris and Euphrates rivers rise and flood and thereby fertilise their land.
Mit dem EC 164 aus Graz fuhr die 1016 022 an diesem Herbsttag auf der Giselabahn in Richtung Innsbruck.
Mit einem gemischten Güterzug fuhren die 1116 271 und 091 über die Giselabahn in Richtung Wörgl, kurz nach dem Scheitelpunkt der Strecke - dem Pass Griesen - gelang ein Foto.
Während der Alpen-Sylt-Nachtexpress in seinem Premierenjahr noch mit einem weißen Vectron mit Aufkleber von RDC unterwegs war und somit eine Vielzahl von Fotografen an die Strecken lockte, fuhr mehr oder weniger das gesamte vergangene Jahr ein Taurus von MRCE, meist die 182 518, den Zug von Westerland (Sylt) - bzw. Hamburg - bis nach Salzburg. Mal sehen, wie der Nachtexpress in diesem Jahr bespannt wird.
Eine unbekannt gebliebene 1116 hat soeben den Bahnhof Floridsdorf verlassen und wird nach überquerung der Donau und der Donauinsel im Bahnhof Handelskai eintreffen.

Vor der Kulisse der frisch eingeschneiten Chiemgauer Alpen fuhr die 1116 208 mit einer Doppelgarnitur Railjet in Richtung Innsbruck.
Ter hoogte van het station Denzlingen , kon ik de Taurus ES 64 U2 097 vastleggen met een volgeladen bieten trein richting Zwitserland ....
