The bull was commonly the symbol and depiction of ancient Near Eastern storm gods, hence Taurus the bull, and hence the name of the mountains. The mountains are a place of many ancient storm-god temples.[6] Torrential thunderstorms in these mountains were deemed by the ancient Syrians to be the work of the storm-god Adad to make the Tigris and Euphrates rivers rise and flood and thereby fertilise their land.

Mit dem EC 164 aus Graz fuhr die 1016 022 an diesem Herbsttag auf der Giselabahn in Richtung Innsbruck.
Mit einem gemischten Güterzug fuhren die 1116 271 und 091 über die Giselabahn in Richtung Wörgl, kurz nach dem Scheitelpunkt der Strecke - dem Pass Griesen - gelang ein Foto.

Na een half dagje Eifel besloot ik naar de Rijn te gaan en de rust op te zoeken. Weg van de zwerm aan fotografen. In Hammerstein vond ik de rust en kon ik van de drukte van de treinen genieten.
Na een melding vanuit Oisterspai, waardoor dank, werd gespannen op een fraaie trein gewacht. Het namelijk zo druk dat uit beide richtingen om de 5 minuten wel een trein passeerde, waardoor de kans op een kruising groot was. Na passage van een goederentrein richting het zuiden, bleven de bomen dicht en zag ik een Taurus in de verte verschijnen.
TRI 182 560 (Mauerfall) met sleep rijtuigen, die normaal voor de Urlaubs Express worden gebruikt, door Hammerstein. Achter de loc nog een slaaprijtuig in EETC kleuren.
Während der Alpen-Sylt-Nachtexpress in seinem Premierenjahr noch mit einem weißen Vectron mit Aufkleber von RDC unterwegs war und somit eine Vielzahl von Fotografen an die Strecken lockte, fuhr mehr oder weniger das gesamte vergangene Jahr ein Taurus von MRCE, meist die 182 518, den Zug von Westerland (Sylt) - bzw. Hamburg - bis nach Salzburg. Mal sehen, wie der Nachtexpress in diesem Jahr bespannt wird.
Eine unbekannt gebliebene 1116 hat soeben den Bahnhof Floridsdorf verlassen und wird nach überquerung der Donau und der Donauinsel im Bahnhof Handelskai eintreffen.

Heute vor 12 Jahren gab es diese interessante Kombination aus Flügelsignalen und einem Taurus mit Flachpark im Bahnhof Finsterwalde. Da die Hamster damals noch nicht verfügbar waren gab es für 2 Jahren diesen Ersatzverkehr der RE10 zwischen Cottbus nach Leipzig. 8.3.2011

Bő egy éven át forda szerint Taurusszal közlekedett az 5335 számú Hidasnémeti - Miskolc-Tiszai viszonylatú személyvonat, ráadásul az országban már csak itt fellelhető Bhv kocsikból kiállítva. A képen Halmaj és Aszaló között halad a Jägerndorfer Aranycsapat Taurus a Fuggerth kocsikkal.

Am 20. Februar 2018 kam eine Doppeltraktion Taurus von Hectorrail durch Stirpe-Ölingen. Es waren 242.516 "Ferdinand" und 242.504 "Mr. Potato Head". Letzterer ist frisch aus Linz von seiner Deutschland Umrüstung gekommen. Weitere Hectorrail Taurus aus Schweden werden folgen.
Una coppia di Taurus ÖBB scende dal versante nord del Brennero al traino del RoLa Bolzano - Wörgl. Convoglio ripreso a Gries am Brenner.
