(342/366) I love sitting down each year to write our Christmas cards. I had these ones left over from last year, they were bought in support of The Donkey Sanctuary near where we lived in Co. Cork. You might recall I took many photos there over the years & am always try to promote the wonderful work they do rescuing neglected & abandoned donkeys.

If anyone is up for the challenge of achieving a daily photograph next year check out my 2017 : one photo each day group

Successor to the Advance Design pick up the Task Force series ran from late 1955-59 featuring a wraparound windshield (an industry first) and optional wraparound rear window on the deluxe cabs. Power steering and brakes available for the first time on GM trucks and a 12 volt electrical system. Power supplied by a 235 Ci straight six.

The Task Force series like other GM vehicles was subject to year on year changes. For 1956 there was a wider hood emblem Two-piece fender emblems are mounted above horizontal fender line. Last year for egg crate grille.

The 1957 model had a more open grille, the bonnet was flatter with two spears on top, simular to the 57 Bel Air ender emblems are still above fender line, but are now oval-shaped, as opposed to previous versions in script.

The 1958 year was the first year of the ender emblems are still above fender line, but are now oval-shaped, as opposed to previous versions in script. and there are four head lights rather than the earlier two and a shorter, wider grille. Parking lights are now in the grille rather than the front wing and the bonnet is simular to that of 1955-56 but with a flat valley in the middle. 1958 was also the first year ofair conditioning,

For 1959 there were only minor changes, a larger more ornate bonnet emblem and redesigned badging on the flanks.
