Weather started lifting on Thursday, breaking through into full sun for a couple hours around noon when we were up on Rothorn for arguably the best runs of the week.
Linds took a lesson from a Swiss ski instructor she described as taskmaster, and David, George, and I met her for a late 235pm lunch after we skiied nonstop from get-go until then. Best ski day of the trip.
That night, to the Whymper-Stube fondue and raclette restaurant tucked inside the Monte Rosa hotel.

Her studies are comprehensive. They include practical alchemy as well as the scholastics of fundamental works by famous wizards from the past and the present. Greisbart is a demanding but just taskmaster and Albirona rapidly gains knowledge in all the important disciplines of magic.

V sunny today, stayed late after work to finish up for all the deadlines tomorrow, and ran into town real quick to pick up my dads bday present book before they closed. The lady in waterstones laughed at me when I went in and said "oh my god it smells like a bookshop!!!" But I was feeling the joy at being in a book shop again so lemme be.
Call with hal in the evening!! We finished watching jatp, and then watched some taskmaster! All very funny, I havent laughed that much in aaages.

An unexpected and pleasant surprise on our arrival at Fore. We were unaware of the tractor run taking place there on the day and so, stayed to watch till they had all moved off in a continuous tractor cavalcade.
The Oldcastle Tractor Run was organised by the Oldcastle Vintage Club, established in 2007 for people with an interest in vintage vehicles and their restoration, in particular tractors.

This particular example is from the 1960's but the original concept for the Taskmaster dates from the Second World War. Sir David Brown designed the aircraft tractor based around the agricultural tractors produced by David Brown to met a request from Lord Beaverbrook.
The UK firm of Douglas later took over the production of Taskmasters.

From my current collection of superhero figures - includes several knock-off figures as temporary stand-ins for Comic Con or other exclusive figures I may or may not ever own one day, as well as any that TLG don't actually produce.
A custom Silver Surfer, (seriously great chrome plating onto official parts), a knock-off Taskmaster and official Lightning Boy from the exclusive box dealio - I scored a bargain, thank you Bricklink.
Spider-Man; still in the "soon to become venom symbiote" costume, unexpectedly teams up with Nomad to deal with some street level crime.
Little did they know that the situation would lead them to confront the Taskmaster who was doing a backstreet manpower recruitment drive for his client - The Black Abbot.
This is an interesting little gem that I did not expect to get this soon for my collection. A regular seller I patronize just contacted me one day as I was going to work, and told me that he had acquired an old issue from 1984.
And boy was this issue old. The pages were yellowish, and certain prints were overlapping between pages, cuts creases and folds everywhere and one annoying pricetag on the cover that I couldn't remove. I'm surprised it managed to survive 30 years in its condition... But I consider it a nice little gem nonetheless as I have an innate sense of appreciation for things old and nostalgic.
I got this baby 16 months ago, and she surprised me with a flower this morning!!! Very excited to find out what it will look like!

Lebensjahr und wird von ihrem Lehrmeister für würdig befunden, den Zaubererhut zu tragen. Ihre Ausbildung ist somit abgeschlossen, und es erwartet sie eine Zeit des Umherstreifens, auf der Suche nach einem Wohnsitz. Zurück zu Muttern steht außer Diskussion.

Several years later - a smart mathematician would be capable of telling an exact number - Albirona turns 21 and is found worthy by her taskmaster to wear the sorcerer's hat. Thus her training is finished, and she's looking forward to a time of wandering, searching for a new home. Back home to her parents is not an option.

This is the sixth post of a series that explores what a number of fantastical Marvel characters would be if they were one of the 13 different classes of Dungeons and Dragons (5e). The sixth of these classes is the Fighter.
Taskmaster (Battle Master)
A fighter plays exactly how you'd expect them to from the name: they fight. They're really good at it, in fact. They are masters of virtually every known weapon, and employ their combat prowess to its fullest extent in the heat of battle. Taskmaster perfectly matches the Fighter class, with his expertise in all fighting styles and weaponry. With the battle masters maneuvers, Taskmaster can replicate the moves of enemies and allies alike, as long as he's seen them once.
