I'm a night owl. I love working in the middle of the night- especially if I'm doing creative projects. buuuut, I've been staying with my parents for a little while here in San Diego, and our sleep/work patterns completely clash. They wake up at 5am and are done with the day by 8pm, I tend to feel like the day is just getting started around 5pm ;)
This leads to a lot of me sneaking around the house in the dark trying not to make noise. Every night when I'm walking back and forth between their house and the garage (where my room is located) I walk down this dark hallway thinking about how picturesque that glowing door is in the middle of the night. Since I'm leaving for Berkeley/SF this week, I seized the opportunity last night to finally capture it.
So here I am, sneaking into the house so I can make myself some pizza at 11:30pm :) It was yummy pizza, but I did burn it a little bit because I got caught up taking photos and completely forgot about food!
p.s. to be honest, I'm kind of glad to see my face not really show up in this shot, because it's quite a task to stay still for 15 seconds and still have your face look good in a photograph! Plus, I'm a notorious hood-wearer anyway.
p.p.s. I used my Gorillapod to make this. I love that thing.
When the folks at Schiphol Airport were thinking of how to entertain people waiting for flights they came up with the great idea of putting this poor guy inside a clock. They tasked him with painting each and every minute on, only then to clean it off before he paints on the next minute. I guess he has a job for life, or at least his animated alter ego.
