This is, of course, a composite of shots I took of the Osprey circling our backyard lake as it eyed a fish. It has lowered its talons preparatory to snatching a wide mouth bass but the fish swam deeper so the bird was frustrated, this time around. Note how graceful this raptor is in flight.

Thanks for taking the time to view my images. Happy to receive feedback / comments.
Wow Wow Wow!!! I couldn't believe it when this absolutely beautiful Barn Owl came so close to me on Friday evening.
I absolutely adore these birds. I'll never forget the first time I saw one in Leicestershire many years ago. I was completely frozen to the spot just stood in awe as I watched one majestically flying over the fields. I stood watching the precision and unwavering skill as he glided and swerved over the tall grass.
Before they home in for their catch, they hover in one spot, the razor sharp talons extended and huge wings almost flapping in slow motion for lift. He'll hold this pose for what can be a dozen or so seconds, co-ordinating all faculties before homing in on the target.
Amazing to watch and amazing to photograph.
A Great Horned Owl is showing its strong talons as if saying STOP! don't come any closer, at Griffith-Woods, #Calgary. It seems that she is on the edge after losing one of its owlets.

Such a singular purpose! I love watching hawks, their intensity and focus is just a marvel to watch. This is a red-tailed hawk, the biggest common raptor in my neck of the woods. We do occasionally have Golden Eagles, but I've only ever seen them when they're circling away up high.
It's got da stance. Had to replace the rear axle with bendy hose and remove the rear subframe to do it, but I figure that leaves this with as much structural integrity as a real stanced car.
Wind changed and the osprey took off with the back at us. Bad luck, as this was the only opsrey that day. But this way one can nicely see these impressive fish-hooks
The new bucket seats and a cleverly obscured bubble shifter. Wouldn't want you seeing anything I bothered to take photographs of anyway.
