Mrs Prendergast went inside the Talkie Tea Rooms in 1974; nobody has ever seen her again.

Her husband, Ted, an avid collector of tropical fish still hands out fliers searching for his missing bride. Poor Ted.

WALKIE TALKIE BUILDING LONDON

I know, I know, too much architecture right. But I couldn't resist. I was looking through a series of photos I took a couple of months back and realised I'd passed this one by and hadn't done anything with it. I probably didn't think much of it the first time I went through the set and that was no doubt why I left it behind. But it's strange, sometimes when you revisit an image it suddenly resonates whereas perhaps it didn't when you first took it. In fact this was taken at the end of a long day of shooting, the last hour of which was all high rise buildings so I was probably a little architectured out by then. Anyway, I've now decided I like it so why not publish it.

I promise not to publish another building next time I put something up on Flickr... maybe.

Known locally as the Walkie-Talkie, the 38-storey building is the fifth tallest completed building in the City of London.

Taken with my Fujifilm X-T30 II camera and a XF18-55mm lens.

This long exposure photograph was taken during a windy night from the South Bank of River Thames looking towards the Southwark Bridge and Bankside Pier. The wind gust caused my camera to rotate irregularly. This resulted in an interesting effect of dancing lights over the Bridge, the Pier and the Walkie Talkie building, and light trails on the South Bank.

Under the Skyscrapers - The Walkie Talkie

Two different image ideas for the mow famous Walkie Talkie building in London, this one taken against a clear blue sky and when done in b/w it makes it go really black, I love those contrasts!

20 Fenchurch Street ist ein Hochhaus in der Fenchurch Street in der City of London. Es wird angesichts seiner Form auch als "The Walkie-Talkie" bzw. "The Pint" bezeichnet. Ursprünglich war eine Höhe von 200 m geplant; diese wurde jedoch aufgrund der Nähe zur St Paul’s Cathedral und dem Tower of London auf 160 m reduziert.

The Walkie-Talkie building in London. I'm not sure I like it that much when seen from afar, but up close it's pretty impressive.

The Walkie Talkie, The Chessegrater and The Scalpel dominate the skyline of the City of London.

This is the western face of the 20 Fenchurch Street skyscraper in London, UK (aka the 'Walkie-Talkie' building). I liked the angle of the sail lines as they reach up to the sky.

A garden in the sky.

Trees. Flowers. Breathtaking views.

The Sky Garden at 20 Fenchurch Street spans three floors and offers uninterrupted views across the City of London. Served by two express lifts, visitors arrive to a beautiful landscaped garden with a viewing area, terrace, café, bar and restaurant. The Sky Garden is a truly unique space and has been designed to create an open and vibrant place of leisure, offering visitors a rare chance to experience London from a different viewpoint.

MAY I TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR TAKING THE TROUBLE TO LIKE OR COMMENT ON MY WORK :) :)

Not been here for a while but well worth a visit - the Walkie Talkie building roof garden and viewing area. This shot was from a Flickr meet-up with the lads from Worcester and around those parts, on April 7th 2018.

The Walkie Talkie building created havoc when it was first built, with its concave shape concentrating the sun's rays and melting a couple of cars below. However, shade proofing has stopped that and now it's a great building to visit. There is free entry though you may have to get tickets or queue at certain times. The Sky Garden Bar is on the 35th floor and is a wonderful place with gardens, bar and restaurant, viewing decks etc. Superb views across the river and around to the other new buildings like the Gherkin. 20 Fenchurch Street. To the right of the BT Tower you can see the Wembley Stadium Arch which is about 10 miles away.

The Sky Garden is a free attraction at the top of the Walkie Talkie building @ 20 Fenchurch St. The entrance is at the back of the building and you have to book. There is airport style security to gain entrance. You have to take pictures trough glass with all the associated reflection and dirty mark issues!

Centre stage with tripods laid out unable to be used a few of the Flickr London Meet-up team and just so I am politically correct I need to apologise for the name as Emma is the exception.

The location is the Walkie-Talkie building aka 20 Fenchurch Street which was our final location for images before departing back to our homes after an excellent day out.

Here in the style of Mark is a little tune to match.
