Can you see the speakers piping nature sounds to (quite successfully) attract birds? Exploration Green, a newly developed nature habitat in the middle of suburban Clear Lake, Houston, Texas.

For an art assignment, the theme was 'The Street'. I chose to do an altered book, relating loosely back to abandoned things. It is all very influenced by yyellowbird's photography, Frankie magazines and various poems that I have found inspiring. [[Work in progress!]]
.... a visit to Calke Abbey and a tour round the house to see and listen to those that are preserving the House as it is, not trying to get is shinny and new looking.....
Perfect way to do it.
With our good friends (who just happen to be our next door neighbours) we have undertaken to walk an 111 mile stretch of the Monarch’s Way in 20 sections. We are doing this for fun and exercise and also to raise awareness and funds for our chosen charity, Grassroots Suicide Prevention. We have invited friends and family to join us on as many walks as they can.
The Monarch’s Way runs from Worcester to Shoreham-by-Sea, some 600 miles, and commemorates the journey that Charles II took after losing the Battle of Worcester in 1651. He was trying to escape to France, which he did after some failed attempts and adventures along the way; it is fairly well documented. We are walking the Cotswolds section from Stratford-on-Avon to Bristol, which Charles II completed on horseback in just two days. The footpaths take a more circuitous route than he would have as the most direct routes are now busy roads.
This shot of Rod walking with a lovely lady who lives nearby and her dog was taken on our third walk. Tomorrow we are doing walk number five.
