Chandra Taal (meaning the Lake of the Moon), or Chandra Tal, is situated at an altitude of about 4,300 metres (14,000 ft) in the Himalayas. Mountains of scree overlook the lake on one side, and a magnificent cirque presents a view on the other. The name of the lake originates from its crescent shape. Situated in the Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh (India), Chandra Taal is a popular destination for trekkers and campers. The lake is accessible on foot only for few months in a year, from May to August.
A clear stream of water flows out of the lake. During the day, the lake appears prussian blue in color, and a greenish tinge appears towards the evening. The lake is situated on a plateau (Samudra Tapu) overlooking the Chandra River which originates from a glacier near Bara-lacha-la.

Bishazari Tal, also spelled Beeshazar Tal, is an extensive oxbow lake system in the buffer zone of the Chitwan National Park, a protected area in the Inner Terai of central Nepal. This wetland covers an area of 3,200 ha (7,900 acres) at an altitude of 286 m (938 ft), and is situated between the Mahabharat mountain range (Lower Himalayan Range) to the north and the Siwalik range to the south. In August 2003, it has been designated as a Ramsar site. The Nepali words 'bis' बिस् (twenty), 'hajār' हजार् (thousand) and 'tāl' ताल् (lake) mean '20,000 lakes'

Eselsburger Tal
Riserva naturale della valle Brenz - Herbrechtingen - Distretto di Heidenheim in Baden-Württemberg.
La valle Eselsburger è conosciuta per le sue bellezze naturali, le più famose tra loro sono le "Vergini di pietra". Anche come un paesaggio culturale la valle Eselsburger è di straordinaria importanza: Nel periodo carolingio fu fondato il monastero Herbrechtingen.
L'ex castello di Falkenstein era un feudo di Federico Barbarossa.
E' stato abitato fino 1593 e poi cadde in rovina.
Area protetta
L'area protetta è stata designata nel 1983 dal Consiglio regionale di Stoccarda e comprende i distretti di Dettingen am Albuch, Bolheim e Herbrechtingen una superficie di 318 ettari.

Das Langtauferer Tal mündet bei Graun in den Vinschgau. Am Talende befinden sich die Gletscher der Ötztaler Alpen mit der Weißkugel (3.739 m) und der Weißsee-Spitze (3.526 m). Unterhalb des Langtauferer Ferners liegt auf 2.544 m die Weißkugelhütte. Gespeist vom Wasser des Gletschergebiets fließt der Karlinbach durch das Tal und mündet bei Graun in den Reschensee. Das höhenmäßig tiefste Gehöft von Langtaufers liegt auf 1.500 m, der höchstgelegene ganzjährig bewohnte Ort in Langtaufers ist der Weiler Melag auf 1.915 m. Der Norden des Tals wird von der Grenze nach Nordtirol begrenzt.
Das Langtauferer Tal gilt als eines der ursprünglichsten Täler der Alpen und zeigt auch heute noch eine weitgehend unversehrte bergbäuerliche Kulturlandschaft. Von Melag, der hintersten Siedlung im Tal, eröffnet sich ein beeindruckender Blick in die Gletscherwelt der Weißkugel.
Angrenzende Fraktionen, Orte, Täler sind Graun, St. Valentin auf der Haide, Reschen, Matsch, Planeil, Schnalstal und das Kaunertal.

One of the Nepal's most beautiful spots, Phewa Tal is surrounded by a combination of monkey-filled forests and the high white peaks. The reflections in the mirror-like water in the early mornings are something you must see at least once before you die. Hire a boat and row yourself across the lake (or hire a local to do it for you - there are some fine times to be had on this lake, even in the middle of the night!)
