田島神社の頼光鳥居（肥前鳥居・四の鳥居）。「寛永十二年乙亥崩落 天和元年辛酉修造 文化十三年歳次丙子四月崩落 同年八月修造之」の柱銘を確認。銘文から鳥居は二度崩落、二回の修復が為されたようである。鳥居自体の奉献年は文化十三年（一八一六）である。
頼光鳥居
この鳥居は肥前鳥居として佐賀県最古のもので、今より約一千年前（円融天皇、天元三年）大江山の鬼退治で有名な源頼光が肥前守として、都より下向の際に寄進したものである。田島宮の文字は参議藤原佐里卿の筆である。その後風波の為に崩れ、上松浦党領袖波多氏鳥居を修造して今日に至る。

Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate park. This bronze statue was originally cast in 1790, on Honshu in Japan at Tajima for a temple there. It was given to the park in 1949.
It is named "Amazarashi-No-Hotoke", meaning "The Buddha that sits throughout the sunny and rainy weather without a shelter."

自分でも信じられ無い結果になって驚いています。

去年FB上で知り合いのYusuke Sakaiさんが受賞していたので初めて知り、今年から参戦してみました。
海外の写真審査サイトで活躍してるフォトグラファーがたくさんいて
レベル高そうでなんか面白そうって事だけで応募しました。
カテゴリーもたくさんあって仕組みもよくわからず、アワード応募に慣れてない自分にとっては英語の弊害もあり苦戦してました。
IPAはプロとアマの写真部門と分かれていて
それぞれ10のカテゴリーで構成されています。
合わせて20カテゴリー、さらにその中にサブカテゴリーと分かれています。
103カ国からの応募があって審査員も70名もいるそうでかなり大規模で世界的な写真コンテストになります。
で現在プロ・アマ各カテゴリーから1位の20作品が決定しました。
その決定した20作品の中に僕の"Pattern"も残っていて
どこかのサブカテの1~3位に入るのを目標としてた自分にとってはいきなり飛躍し過ぎです。
ただ賞には相性があると思うのですが"Pattern"については
たまたまIPAに応募したカテゴリー・審査員との相性が良かっただけだと思います。
先日の東京カメラ部でも受賞した作品なのですが
PX3だと落とされてるし、Honorable Mentionにすら届いていません。
でこのコンテストには次のステップがあり
今度はプロ・アマ関係なくその20作品から審査され10月27日にNYで結果が発表されます。
授賞式に来てくれとメールがきましたが行きません。

どうやらIPAのベスト20がルーシーアワード(写真業界のオスカー賞と書かれていました)に持ってこられるようで、
もちろんそんな事IPAに応募した時点ではつゆ知らず。
さらに僕とは別のカテゴリー1位を受賞した日本人のAkira Takaueさんと話したところ
英語でプレゼンまでやるって事を知り、さらに行きたくなくなりました。
それと本当に偶然なのですが
僕がイギリスへ写真を撮りに行く日程とかぶっていました。
という事で絶対に行けません。
大変光栄で素晴らしい賞を頂いたにも関わらず
今またメールが来ていて、バイオグラフィー・高解像度の写真・プロフィール写真送ってとか
どうやってNY行きを断ろうかとか色々大変で心が折れそうです。
※IPAの内容は大体合ってると思いますが、
全部英訳した情報なので何か間違い等あるかもしれません。
