This is one of a three part series of shots taken of a reflection on a glass tabletop. In each shot I chose a different point of focus, resulting in three dramatically different images.

Painted Grasshawk (Neurothemis stigmatizans) Dragonfly at Tabletop swamp, Litchfield park, Northern Territory. I really like this place with the insects flitting between their perches beneath Paperbark trees.

tabletop photos again? who can help it? it seems to be a real trend on the flickr and around the blogs... I'm getting more and more into cooking, going to the local organic market, growing herbs, picnics and photographing our meals. Celery soup, amazing mixed grains bread from "sugardough" down the street, a leftover glass of red from the previous night...
I visited the Brisbane Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) on Sunday, to see what was the latest, but unfortunately all of the works on display were from the GOMA warehouse, and so I was familiar with most of it, which is testament to my many visits there.
I spotted this though, and unfortunately didn't remember to shoot the explanation, so today it is whatever you want to make of it.
I did see some black petal type contents rising and lowering slowly inside the globes, somehow, and the look on this kids face probably says what we were all thinking "How do they do that?"
The display was totally enclosed in a glass box.
