The Poulson-style table lamp became popular in the early 1960's for providing glare-free, soft lighting. The inside is painted white for optimal reflection, the outside is sleek, stylish and oh-so-sixties. See profile for more details.

Not at all my usual thing, this is made from real ramsus shells painted with a red lacquer finish, and a black ostrich egg.

Design: Marzio Rusconi Clerici, Laura Agnoletto

Ceiling, table and floor lamp, made of a white acrylic sphere with three elliptic laser cut holes and chromed metal structure.

Noglobe intends to be a provocative reinterpretation of the classic spherical lamp

The holes embody a minimalist action that reshapes the wholeness of the sphere and shows the inner space usually hidden under its surface.

In spite of the perfect symmetry of the three holes, Noglobe is perceived in a slightly asymmetrical manner that changes ad moves according to the optical point of view.

Functionally, Noglobe spreads an ambience light, soft as well as directional.

Spotted this yesterday .

The bottom label says: "Hamilton Industries - Chicago, Ill. - Model 409 - Made In Taiwan"

Judging from the color, electrical plug and wear under it's base - I think it was made in the 1970's.

One can practically see and smell the Med just by gazing at this wonderful lamp.

Monumental in size and fabulous!

Mediterranean blue, with incised waves at neck glazed in turquoise and greens of mediterranean. Ahhhh, Ca-a-apri!

Attributed to Bitossi, and most likely produced for Raymor (appears to be Raymor hardware, ceramic specs at top of body).

Outstanding!

We didn't find this one on the set of an old sitcom, but we did think the homage to Punky was apt. Please meet, Funky Brewster!

We've been making this style of lamp for nearly seven years and it has always been a favorite.

Here we take a 1960s Universal percolator and add two amber flashing C7 bulbs to the interior to light the glass top, and another in the base to illuminate the old red "coffee is ready" light! We love it!

Next door is an avocado green melmac cup with light brown saucer. Both are attached to a reclaimed antique brass lamp base. A three way rotary switch allow for separate or simultaneous illumination of the components. New cord. All bulbs included. 19"H x 16"W

How about moving Funky Brewster to your funky abode!
