Unsuccessful: This is unsuccessful because the vast variation in fonts, sizes and colors is overwhelming and distracting. There is no consistency throughout the signage. I am visually overwhelmed by the background text. Furthermore, the image of the coffee and smoke made out of words may have been a good thought but its execution is not visually working for me in this sign. The font choice for the restaurant name is very different than all the other fonts on the sign which confuses me. I would have liked to see a brighter color palette as well.
