This exhibition — “Republish: Typography As...” is an effort of the team behind Republish to see the typefaces in action, while treading the border of art & design. A variety of notions are investigated through the artworks, such as

[1] the juxtaposition of heritage and contemporary,

[2] the physical materialism of type, and

[3] the collective memory of cultural heritage and artifacts.

This exhibition — “Republish: Typography As...” is an effort of the team behind Republish to see the typefaces in action, while treading the border of art & design. A variety of notions are investigated through the artworks, such as

What techniques did you use for this lettering project that were different from the typography project?

I used the font that they used for the lilo and stitch movie cover i also added a little bit of the Hawaiian colors too.

• Why do letterers / artists embrace imperfection?

the imperfections make the work better and more unique

then other peoples.

• How did you embrace imperfection?

i embrace it very well because imperfection is better and its far more unique then anything else out there. And perfection is very very very boring and lame.

Summer Vacation _ Silent Summer

Memory of 2009 Summer vacation in my hometown.(Jeju island,Korea)

The weather has been gray for several days.

This time I Captured the silent summer.

actually,i like original blue summer. but gray summer also attractive :-)

stopped time..a ruined house..a calm atmosphere...

I found the another natural grid, sky note and new leaf note.

Nice place and new experience are always brings a good inspiration.

It was Unforgettable days. I think ate too much. haha :-)
