again, Babič's Mill on the River Mura in Slovenia but here I thought I'd have a go at long exposure to get motion blur in the spinning wheels; although the structure appeared to be firmly anchored, I would soon find out that the ship mill was in fact constantly swinging with the flow of water, however imperceptibly; this is the only shot (out of 5 tries) that turned out to be relatively presentable (with the help of editing)
Don't we all have some in our lives? A decision we took, a choice we made, or even one we are about to make. All can be turning points in our lives. And some will just change our focus, or our direction, while others will change our lives forever and ultimately they will define us...
Can be frightening, right? But as intimidating this might sound, keep one thing in mind. Just one thing that makes all the difference in the world.
We are the ones holding that steering wheel. No...?
Turning Torso is a neo-futurist residential skyscraper built in Malmö, Sweden in 2005. It was the tallest building in the Nordic region until September 2022, when it was surpassed by Karlatornet in Gothenburg, which is still under construction. Located on the Swedish side of the Öresund strait, it was built and is owned by Swedish cooperative housing association HSB. It is regarded as the second twisted skyscraper in the world to receive the title after Telekom Tower in Malaysia.
It was designed by Spanish architect, structural engineer, sculptor and painter Santiago Calatrava and officially opened on 27 August 2005. It reaches a height of 190 m (620 ft) with 54 stories and 147 apartments. Turning Torso won the 2005 Gold Emporis Skyscraper Award; and in 2015, the 10 Year Award from the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat

.... the geraniums that I keep in pots in the porch begin to open as white petals, but then they turn a gentle pink, and finally a deep pink. These few flowers are at various stages of opening out. There's a link to the porch full of geraniums in the first comment field

While beautiful, this dying leaf evokes a sense of poignancy in me as it is a vivid reminder of the turning seasons and that time ruthlessly marches on.

We were thrilled when we got to see the semiplumbeous hawk. They are not seen often but this one was sitting actually fairly low in the tree and stayed for a few minutes before flying off which gave us time to get a few images. Such a beautiful Hawk and this was taken on one of our trips to Costa Rica with Nature's Tapestry Photo Adventure Tours '
Wishing each of you safe and blessed day !!
