At first light the Northern Harrier treated me to a close-up portrait. The only other times I've seen her perched was behind a chain-link fence.
I kept my distance, didn't get in her comfort zone, and took many shots from different angles. It's a good feeling when a raptor trusts you.

I should have never trusted the used car salesman who sold me the auto in the first place!
