You know I like to take photos of the interiors of the places we stay in - this house was less picturesque than the cottage we stayed in at Downton, but it was comfortable enough. Downstairs was mainly open plan but I'm glad there was a separate hall to the front door (with cloakroom). I'm not keen on opening the front door from the living space, as you let all the cold air in in winter and it doesn't feel very private. The nice thing about open plan meant we were able to talk to each other easily but the bad thing would be how noisy it could be if you have the washing machine/dishwasher running, with the kettle boiling while someone was watching TV or listening to the radio (they had a Google smart speaker).

Trinity College (Irish: Coláiste na Tríonóide) is the sole constituent college of the University of Dublin, a research university in Ireland. The college was founded in 1592 as the "mother" of a new university, modelled after the collegiate universities of Oxford and Cambridge, but, unlike these ancient universities, only one college was ever established; as such, the designations "Trinity College" and "University of Dublin" are usually synonymous for practical purposes. It is one of the seven ancient universities of Britain and Ireland, as well as Ireland's oldest university. (Wikipedia)

This is a fish boat returning to land , crossing Trinity Bay with the St Paul's Anglican Church prominently situated in the town of Trinity. The harbour here in the town was used by fishermen as early as the 1500s. The church itself was constructed between 1892 and 1894 and contains a small but historically important documents and memorials.

The Great Gate was built 1490-1530 - before the college existed, and faces Trinity Street. The lower stage here is the earliest part, from around 1490.

Trinity College was founded by Henry VIII in 1546 - and as you see his statue is on the gatehouse. In his right hand he holds a chair leg, rather than a sword. (In a prank in 1983, the chair leg was replaced with a bicycle pump for a short time).

Holy Trinity Church, Buildwas Shropshire.

There has been a church in Buildwas since medieval times. The present structure was rebuilt in 1720 on the site of the original church and is Grade II listed due to its numerous architectural features, including Gothic styled stained glass windows, a wooden gallery, and a richly carved 17th century pulpit.

Trinity College is one of the oldest and best known seats of learning in the world.
