Jed is headed into the brush to set this weasel box. Inside is a #1 or a # 1 1/2 and a chunk of bait (any sort of meat). This is the typical set up we use for weasel sets.

The bird on the left is a young cygnet trapped in the ice at Ulley Reservoir.. through my lens it was obvious to see it was desperately tyring to free it self, but to no avail. How it got in this situation is unknown, it was heart breaking to see its obvious struggle. Virtually the whole lake was ice bound, You can see two Egyptian geese merrily walking past on the ice . Taken on Thursday 10th in the afternoon .

A seagull got his foot trapped in a power line next to Little Caesars.

The pups are rooming for a week. Not much of her in focus here, but this is a surprisingly happy Kokoro coming back to the "room" after checking out the run.

It's lobster season in San Diego. If you were so inclined, you could put a mask and snorkel on and get your own. Just make sure you don't get too many.

There were a couple of guys arrested a few years ago who had raided commercial fishermen's traps. The bed of their truck was full. Greedy.

This poor little fella was trapped in a spiders web. He was still alive, so after taking a few pictures of him I released him.

After the beaver is pulled out of the water, rubbing snow into its hide will pull the water off and prevent the fur from freezing onto the truck bed as well as being covered in ice cubes.

A lobsterman rounds the breakwater and turns into Gloucester harbor. Lobster traps are piled on the back of the boat. (Everyone calls them lobster traps now, but when I was a kid they were lobster pots.)

I'm even more suspicious of a trap being around when they have a sign advertising it.
