On my way out the door this morning I noticed a butterfly fluttering around over a bush near our walkway. I took a glance and headed on to my truck. I glanced back and realized that the butterfly was fluttering around in the same place. A closer look revealed that it was trapped in a web that extended down from a tree limb. I went over and knocked the string of web down trying not to damage its silken wings. Once the butterfly was free, it fluttered around and landed on the bush next to my walkway. I immediately grabbed the camera and prepared my macro setup only to come to an abrupt stop as my lens fogged up after being exposed to the morning sauna. I thought this opportunity was lost. I just knew this butterfly would be gone in a matter of seconds, but it stayed. In fact, it stayed long enough for my lens to clear and long enough to grab my tripod after several failed hand held attempts. In the image, you can see a ball of web hanging off the end of its tattered wing. I would like to think the butterfly was hanging around to let me take its picture just to say thanks. The saying says that you should not mess with Mother Nature, but I could not resist.

My brain is exhausted. My body is exhausted. It's been a stressful and work-filled past few days and my lack of sleep last night really didn't help, nor did my 8 hour school day. Nevertheless, there was so much creativity spewing from my head that I had to trap it in there somehow. I can't be wasting brain power with so many deadlines coming up.
Now if only instead of my head, there was...say...a Nikon D700 or D3x in that bag....donations?

1. mirror edge, light, Nikon D3500
2. When I think of math, I think of geometry. In addition to that, math is very structured so I wanted to capture something with structure.
3. To capture this photo, I pointed my camera in different angles around the rim of my mirror. I played with just natural light and just artificial light. I tried to capture the different shadows the lines made as well. The structure of math and even the “trapped” solutions in math relate to the structure of the mirror’s rim.
N London - recently bought a collapsable Safari Ranger moth trap - they are made of net mesh. Here it is running with a 15W actinic tube in the garden. I will be pleased if it catches anything tonight!
Trapped
by angela renee williamson
As we sit here wondering about the world outside.....
I feel trapped....
stuck , lost .....
trying to grasp something that isn't there........
Trapped in these walls...
but free to come and go.....
the feeling of trying to change something
that doesn't know any diffrent..............
Trapped to an emotion and I don't know were to start...
or where it might end........
so I will have to follow my heart...
when my mind tries to overpower...
trapped in these walls, or just trapped in this mind........
Nothing will change unless the first step is taken....
getting the motivation to start...
can leave behind someone else in pain......
but you know what your heart is telling you...
and your mind is thinking for you......
Do what you feel, don't deny what you can't change....
being trapped in your mind will cause you more pain......
follow your heart....listen to the tiny whisper..........
and your happines will finally break free....

Cage is 1.25" tall x 1.7" long. The door opens but he's too big to come out. There's also a sliding tray lined with newspaper underneath him to catch his droppings.

An emergency in the subway had us all walking in the rain. Making my way over the Bloor Viaduct, I was taken by the highway view through the bars which were installed to stop the use of this bridge for suicide.
The rain and the bars gave me the feeling of being trapped in a concrete jungle.

Not the only one to have fallen between the window and a wooden a board, waiting for an inevitably slow death
Male swan trapped trying to get through a gap in the wire. The swan and his mate had somehow ended up in woodland the wrong side of the fence at Painshill and had then been spooked by a pair of cows. Ending up in a corner of the fence the male decided to try and get through the fence and managed to get its left wing trapped in an older section of fence and some brambles. It's mate dutifully remained with the male. I stayed with the swan while rescue was sought. A pair of wire cutters were used to cut an opening in the fence and with the head being held firm by one member of Painshill staff the Head Gardener lifted the swan out of the undergrowth. As soon as it was released it made for the lake seemingly none the worse for its experience. It's mate was then guided through the gap in the wire fence. Quite how they ended up in the woods we are not sure but suspect they may have been blown there when landing on the lake or had found a gap in the fence.

Trapped in the dog cage.
I took out all the colors besides the reds, but I still down the red in the photo.
I have been wanting to do something in the cages -- we have three althought this is the only one I think I can fit it. I've never tried the med. side one and the third in a small one for my little doggie. I hate uses the cages, but it's how the dogs have been rasied when we leave the house so I guess it's okay.
