Corinth Mississippi was originally named Cross City. Two major North/South and East/West railroads and national highways cross in the city. The train station was constructed at the junction of the two railroads and built to accommodate both passengers and freight from either rail line. The station now houses a museum.
There were many people here. We caused quite the traffic jam. Many people asked what was happening. The answer we gave was, "train's coming". The cows were pretty cool too.

A trio of Deseret Power Railway E60Cs departs the Deserado Mine loadout near Dinosaur, CO with the morning loads for the Bonanza Power Plant near Bonanza, UT. The train will take about an hour to cover the 35 miles between the two points on a line with no rail connections.
I suppose the employee in the truck was wondering what I was up to, but when he saw me scrambling to pack up to get to the next location, he smiled and said "better hurry."

Restored Mining Trains for tourists, with a nice route to visit the Red River, and the beautiful Mining landscapes ...
Today was a blast. First, we went hiking then on the way back, we saw this train going across. It was going very slow and I knew where it was going to go across next, so we went down the road and waited for it to come by. The engineers waved out the windows at us. My first round of photos were okay, but I wanted better, so we drove down another mile or so and waited for it again. I got better pictures this time and it was nice to see the engineers' smiling faces.
It was fun to be able to stop and enjoy it going by, rather than wishing it would hurry because we are always in a hurry and don't have time to be held up.
