Now used for tourist for rides through the Northern California Redwoods. It is called the Skunk Traini because back in the old days the fuel smelled like skunk spray.
This was for a trains theme but to later to enter :-)
The eastbound Rio Grande Ski Train exits Moffat Tunnel at East Portal, Colorado, on March 21, 1997. A pair (only three built and painted for D&RGW) of Rio Grande EMD GP60s power the passenger train, led by No. 3155.
My brother in law has a Explore theory - "Every day Explore set must have a train photo". I decided to check that and started to look opurtunity to shot one.
This shot is combined with 2 photos taken with Samsung S4, first background shot in HDR mode and train in normal mode both combined in PS and processed in LR.
Looks like CSX U36B #5797 (former SCL 1847) never quite made a complete transition to the Blue & Gray.
Seen here working ex-L&N Siebert yard at Mobile, AL on 13 February 1993 with GE MATE #5204 (former SCL 3204).
The 5797 later went to TTI.
On June 2nd we had general elections in Mexico. We had two choices:
to continue with the populist, inefficient, corrupt and conservative government that we have since the last six years, but disguised as a liberal left-side party
or
to give the chance to rule to a strange mixed coalition that could restore a better social policies.
The preliminary results are not good, so it seems that we missed the last train to a better future. Hope that I am wrong.

Not sure what train or transfer this might have been, but this solid set of WC SD45s was working Norfolk Southern's Colehour Yard in Hammond, IN on 13 May 2001, a few months before the CN acquisition was completed in October.
6603 was reportedly the former ATSF 5332.
This is my only shot of WC power doing something other than sitting around.
Three Volvo B10BLE Wright Renowns remain in the Brighton & Hove fleet as trainers 221, 235 & 236. Here at the Old Steine this afternoon is remembered 7221.
The day is drawing to a close, we take the train to nowhere, over bridges and water.....

Spotted this train on the way back from shooting mountain scenes, and had to step on it to get ahead of the train and in position to take the photo. This is just north of Arlee, Montana, population 636.

The Delaware & Hudson had several run-through trains with the Lehigh Valley. One of those trains, symbol MA-2 (Mechanicsville – Allentown) is seen here approaching the village of Siegfried, just north of Northampton, Pennsylvania. In just four days, the D&H will increase its route-miles tremendously, being named the competitive alternative to Conrail in the northeast. To help support the additional traffic, the D&H will be given 47 Lehigh Valley and Reading locomotives, neatly patched in their former owners’ paint. This will greatly reduce the odds of seeing pure lightning stripe sets, such as this RS36/U23B/U23B/RS36 lashup.
