One of the nicest shapes of Corolla there has been in my opinion.

Notice the similarities between this and the Honda Concerto hatchback: black B and C pillars separating the coloured roof from the doors and wings. A late 1980s trend in Japanese car design.

Basically found out that tonight was the last night of free usage of the m7, quickly cleaned my windshield and set out to get this shot before the tolls kicked in lol

Well here is a picture of me driving wearing my Adidas Santiossage slides this afternoon as I cruised around the city I live in.

In the heat of summer, wildlife activity slows right down. The critters are still around; it's just that they are more active during the cool hours of night and early morning. And so, to get the shots, I get up early.

And yes, that's me pumping gas into the rolling red Toyota blind. I'm wearing my grubbiest outfit, because in the back of my mind I always assume that at some point I'll be crawling through mud. And with that, let me introduce a new image series: not quite a day in the life, but maybe half a morning.

I live on the edge of a big national park; it's six, ten or twenty minutes to my three favourite entry points. This was a typical morning in July, and what I found to photograph before the sun got too high and the light flattened out and the heat drove most critters - including me - to lie low for the remainder of the day. We're heading for the north gate, ie. the main entrance to Grasslands National Park and the Ecotour Road. It will take about 20 minutes to get there if I don't stop. But I will be stopping...

So hop in - the passenger seat is empty - and take a little tour with me for the next few days. July is not the most productive month for prairie wildlife photography, but by making myself available when the critters are likely to be out - and most of my own species are tucked away in their beds or sleeping bags - good stuff can happen.
