As with the purple aeonium, in this image I envision the fire of life. The center, which I am viewing "through the trees", looks like a glowing campfire at night around which dancers are celebrating!
Let's sum it... 2 months preparation, a new 300mm lens bought for this occasion, 3 days trip, 14.000 kms, 3 different planes... a very small island in a undiscovered part of the world... all for this photo!!
It is just processed by my notebook...and I wait to process it better when I'm back home :)

Street candid taken in Glasgow, Scotland. The texture of the plaster on this guys overalls really caught my attention, especially as it almost matched the texture of the doorway. He is covered in so much plaster I am not sure how he can even move! After capturing the shot I also noticed that he is standing on a sign saying 'Bar' which works so perfectly with the 'plastered' title that I already had in mind.

I took this shot on August 28 at about 2:30am, just as the eclipse began. It lasted a total of 90 minutes. It's overexposed, but I like the eerie glow. No post work.
This famous northern Thailand temple contains a relic from the Buddha. It is kept in an extremely ornate shrine and attracts thousands of visitors every year. Offerings are made in various ways here, circumnambulating the stupa/chedi is considered one of the most authentic ways to generate merit.
