The North American F-86 Sabre was the first swept-wing jet fighter operated by the USAF and became legendary for its pilots exploits during the Korean war achieving a kill ratio against the Soviet MiG-15 of 10 to 1. Whilst there are no longer any airworthy genuine F-86 Sabres left in Europe, France based Mistral Warbirds operate this Canadair CL-13 Mk.6, the very last licence-built by the Canadians in a catching USAF camouflage scheme.

Rolling down the main from the 23 end before taking to the skies at RAF Lossiemouth is this pair of 15 Sqn OCU Panavia Tornado GR4's. And very nice it was to have some warmth from the burners on a slightly colder morning.

Climbing away after cleaning up the gear from the 23 main with the RB199 Rolls Royce engines in full burner mode is this 15 Sqn OCU based Tornado GR4 from RAF Lossiemouth.

Taxing out to the 23 threshold for departure at RAF Lossiemouth is an RAF Beech King Air B200GT aircraft which has wonderful poppy livery marking's in remembrance to all who have served.

The Lockheed MC-130 is the basic designation for a family of special mission aircraft operated by the United States Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC), a wing of the Air Education and Training Command. This aircraft is from RAF Mildenhall in Suffolk and is seen here on finals to land at neighbouring base RAF Lakenheath.

Departing RAF Fairford after appearing at the Royal International Air Tattoo 2023 is the spare Red Arrow's display team jet.

A very nice and rare catch indeed is this USAF Boeing C17 Globemaster III from the Hawaii Air National Guard (HIANG). This one is departing Glasgow Prestwick airport in Ayrshire Scotland just as the light greets the new day.

The Boeing C-17 Globemaster III is a large military transport aircraft. It was developed for the United States Air Force (USAF) from the 1980s to the early 1990s by McDonnell Douglas. The C-17 commonly performs tactical and strategic airlift missions, transporting troops and cargo throughout the world.

The Ukranian SU 27 Flanker was one of the stars at the Belgium Air Force Days at Kleine Brogel Air Force base in Belgium and put on a couple of absolutely fantastic displays which really showed the aircrafts agility and capabilities in the air. A fantastic colour scheme matched the show for me.

The Lockheed C-5 Galaxy is a large military transport aircraft originally designed and built by Lockheed, and now maintained and upgraded by its successor, Lockheed Martin. It provides the United States Air Force (USAF) with a heavy intercontinental-range strategic airlift capability, one that can carry outsized and oversized loads, including all air-certifiable cargo.

RAF Lockheed Hercules C130J C.MK4 ZH868 taxes back to stand at Prestwick airport in Scotland after a sortie with C.MK5 ZH883. The two RAF c130 aircraft have been on a mini detachment at Prestwick and have been flying low level together with a "Jigsaw" call sign.
