I love the way this thing looks and sounds.
World of Top Gear at the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu, is a unique exhibition of vehicles from every era of the hit television show. The TGV12 was motoring journalist Jeremy Clarkson’s car-based train that was featured in Series 17. It was made from a Jaguar XJS.
‘XJ12 596’ is the actual TGV12 ‘sports train’ driven by Clarkson during Top Gear’s valiant attempt to reduce the cost of railway travel using innovative car-based rolling stock. The ‘locomotive’ is little more than an old Jaguar convertible with some different wheels on it.

James Daniel May is a well-known English journalist and TV presenter. He was born in Bristol on 16 January 1963. James' popularity, of course, came after the Top Gear show, in which he participates as a host. An interesting fact is that in the Top Gear show, due to his overly careful driving style, James May received the nickname "Captain Slow". But, in any case, even this driving style could not prevent him from accelerating the Bugatti Veyron to 407 km/h. And in a Toyota Hilux, he, along with a large support team from Iceland and Jeremy Clarkson, became the first people to reach the magnetic north pole.

This is the last picture from the small Top Gear series of the indestructible car.
To make it look a bit more realistic, I've made a slightly slammed version of the cab and ripped off one of the mudguards. In the meantime the car is whole and red again, one of the advantages of Lego.
That digger is the 42121 Technic kit, of which I've shown a small detail a while ago. I've slightly changed the innards of the cab to fit a minifigure. That's one of the things I really fail to understand about Lego - why are things in minifigure scale, but without room for any?
This scene is after the demolition of the tower block, on a pile of rubble, when it's dug out by the excavator.

The Hai Van pass is an amazing coastal road in central Vietnam, and was features in the Top Gear Vietnam special. We rented bikes for the day and drove the pass, both ways.
If you look closer, you'll see the pass cut into the mountain in the back.
Among the many and varied vehicles to have appeared in the Top Gear television show over the years is this 1975-registered 6750 cc Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow LYU 366P which is on display at the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu.
Some of the 48 hairpin turns near the top of the northern ramp of the Stelvio Pass. As the guys from Top Gear would say: This is probably the best stretch of tarmac continental Europe has to offer. YouTube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Il6KAhfljCY

The Toyota Hilux has long been one of the best selling pickup trucks in Australia and globally. A reputation for being unbreakable, the key selling point.
Australia is a tough country, and Toyota has dominated rural markets with the Hilux and other rough-terrain vehicles.
The gents (foolish gents) at the BBC TopGear team thought they would see what it would take to actually kill a Toyota Hilux, with some astounding results.
Note, this was way back in Season 3, so you might not recognise them....
