This is another shot of my old friend Tommy Vollmar from a shoot the other day. The "Purple Rain" pic was for him, this shot was more for me and my artistic sensibilities.

Día muy frío, a principios de enero de 2021, justo un día antes del temporal Filomena, que asoló gran parte de España con tremendas nevadas, tomé esta foto de un pequeño arroyo, completamente helado, al igual que la vegetación circundante. La niebla creaba además una atmósfera especial.
A very cold day, at the beginning of January 2021, just one day before the Filomena storm, that devastated much of Spain with tremendous snowfall, I took this photo of a small stream, completely frozen, as well as the surrounding vegetation. The fog also created a special atmosphere.

In her dream, the book opened on its own, and words began to form on the pages. They weren't written in ink but in soft strange light, glowing softly in the dark. The words told her of forgotten worlds, lost hopes, and the countless souls who had sought the book's wisdom. But the final message was clear: "The secrets of this book are not for the eyes, but for the heart. Only those who truly seek without selfish desire will understand."
When Elara awoke, the book was gone. But she smiled, for she knew the secret. She didn't need to read the book with her eyes—she had already read it with her heart. And though the villagers never understood, Elara carried the wisdom of The Silent Tome with her always, sharing its quiet lessons through kindness, compassion, and a love for the mysteries that could never be fully known.

This conversion was done with Topaz Simplify.
The distortion Topaz calls "Adjust" works well for illustration where beauty is not the goal. It's great documentary imaging, but Simplify is the Topaz program for pure beauty. When you try to calm Topaz Adjust down with the "suppress" tool, you begin to get "halos" and the documentation is lost to distortion. After a few examples, I'll probably switch to Simplify only, until the subject matter demands Adjust.

It's pure joy to look at his photographs and even more to watch them change with Topaz modifications. I hope you'll enjoy the beauty of New Zealand.
Ray is into many intellectual projects, not the least of which is 3-D photography. He has dozens, maybe hundreds of 3-D pictures you may have to order a pair of glasses to enjoy (available on the internet) or you may want to try your skill with his "cross-eyed 3-D." I'd never heard of that and it only took about three trys to make it work. I was amazed and still am.

No la tomes conmigo, no sé quién soy.
Espero que esté todo ahí. Al contado una a una las palabras que me debe. No tengo tiempo para contar, ahora. No tengo tiempo. Soy consciente, de hecho hace hace ya un tiempo que me he dado cuenta que de he vuelto a matar. Y quizá me convierta en esa clase de asesinos que nunca deja de matar. Una máquina, un mecanismo que no controla sus miembros, ni sus movimientos. No he querido hablar con nadie. La gente día a día también mata, pero es incapaz de perdonar a un asesino, y más si es tan joven. ¡Qué más da que sea joven! ¿Acaso si lo hace alguien mayor es menos delito? Matan sentimientos, miradas, sollozos, gritos, matan a otros, y se matan a si mismos, muchas veces. He decidido dejar de matarme, al menos mientras soy consciente. Así de fácil, me levanté un día y me dije, ya no. Y desde entonces hasta ahora no me había dado cuenta de que había matado. No es que me sienta mejor matando a otros, simplemente no me siento tan mal. Luego lo escribo, y queda mejor, hasta puedo convertirme en una heroína. La muerte contada así, se acerca a la lírica. El arte de matar, o el arte de morir, también. Muchos hablan y hablan de que son asesinos cuando lo máximo que se acercan es que matan al tiempo, y el tiempo antes de morir acaba con ellos. Acabar no en el sentido de aniquilar, las palabras confunden. Mi última víctima, el cielo siempre fue nuestro. Arruiné sus esperanzas y eso es lo único que le quedaba. Me vengué en él, de otros. Pero soy tan mala como homicida que ni me inmuto. Vaya mierda de criminal, pensaréis. Sí, es cierto, soy incapaz de convertirme en una asesina en serie. Pero nunca lo he querido tampoco, así que mejor. Moriré las veces que hagan falta, para que alguien se dé cuenta de que a veces hace falta morir para saber vivir del todo.

Recordaré para siempre como tomé esta foto. Esta parte de la costa Francesa es muy agresiva, con enormes acantilados. Ese día el viento soplaba muchísimo y tuve que tomar la foto agarrado a una valla!. A pesar del viento hice una buena composición.
I will remember for ever how I took this photo. This part of the France's coast, is very aggressive with a huge cliffs. This day the wind was blowing so much and I had to take the photo seized in a fence!. In despite of the wind I made a good composition.
