With the day off from work due to a doctor's appointment, I had a free afternoon, which coincided with one of the best powered trains to run the Trenton Sub in quite a while, CSX Q404-22...
After working Woodbourne Yard, CSX Q404 crawls east through CP TL at a snail's pace. A pair of Kansas City Southern locomotives, including KCSM ES44AC 4879 and SD70ACe 4053 trailing are on the point of the mixed freight.

Entre les multiples variants de les càmeres Praktica, de la Alemania oriental, aquesta Super TL és de les força boniques, tot i tenir força plastic. Aquest model es fabricà entre 1968 i 1976, i val a dir que és una SLR força usual. M'agrada força el disparador ergonomic de les Praktica, avançat al seu temps.
L'objectiu no el vaig comprar amb la càmera, tot i que també prové del bloc sovietic: es tracta d'un Helios 44-2 f2/ 58mm, fabricat per Valdai.

Among the many variants of Pentacon Praktica cameras in East Germany, this Super TL is quite beautiful, despite having a lot of plastic. This model was manufactured between 1968 and 1976. I really like the ergonomic trigger of the Praktica, ahead of its time.
I did not bought the lens with the camera, although it also comes from the Soviet block: it is a Helios 44-2 f2 / 58mm, manufactured by Valdai, then in the USSR.

With good shots this year of 6, 12, 16, 17 and 18 I did particularly well with the rarer Renaults. Sadly no 15, 20 or 30 though.
The TL class were originally built by Clyde Engineering Australia in 1952 and shipped to Hong Kong. 5 were built for a railway over there and they were a spitting image of a Victorian Railway's flat top T class but with a larger engine. When they were no longer needed, four (No. 52, 53, 54, 55) were put on sale and one (No. 51) was donated to a museum. The four put on sale were purchased by CFCLA and shipped to Australia for refurbishment and re-entered service in 2006 as the TL class. They kept their original numbers from when they were in service in Hong Kong but with a 1 added in front so that they would fit in the numbering scheme without changing their original number.
