TIPPING THE VELVET by Waters, , Writer - Sarah Waters adapted by Laura Wade, Director - Lyndsey Turner, Design - Lizzie Clachan, Lighting - Jon Clark, The Lyric Theatre, 2015, Credit: Johan Persson/
This musical phenomenon comes to Theatr Clwyd for the first time thanks to Tip Top Productions.
Music by Andrew Lloyd Webber based on Old Possum’s Book Of Practical Cats by T.S. Eliot. “Prologue – Jellicle Songs for Jellicle Cats” additional material written by Trevor Nunn and Richard Stilgoe; ”Memory” additional material written by Trevor Nunn.
The Jellicle Cats come out to play on one special night of the year—the night of the Jellicle Ball. One by one they tell their stories to Old Deuteronomy, their wise and benevolent leader, who must choose one of the Cats to ascend to The Heaviside Layer and be reborn into a whole new Jellicle life. Among the candidates are the aging theatre cat, Gus; the rocker, Rum Tum Tugger; and the once-glamorous Grizabella, now but a faded memory of her former self.
Boasting a score that includes Jellicle Songs for Jellicle Cats, Mr. Mistoffelees and Memory, this compelling fable takes audiences to a fantastical world that can only exist in the theatre. Cats has been performed worldwide and translated into over 20 languages. The original West End production ran for 21 years and the original Broadway production ran for 18 years

Project 365, Day 1
In middle school in San Diego I rode the bus to school while my friends got rides from their parents. I'd get there earlier than them, so I'd wait for them at the cul de sac behind the school where parents pulled up to drop their children off. When my friend Elena would arrive I'd run up to her car door and open it for her. Then I'd hold out my hand to her father, a New Yorker with long graying hair pulled back in a ponytail, and I'd say "Tip please!" He'd answer with his best Yankee grouse, "Here's a tip, get an education!" And as he drove away we'd walk up to the school to do just that.

How to keep a lead?
I defend with my midfielders and not my defenders so usually my defense is pretty solid throughout ...
More attempts at sports. The OM-D can do it....I just have to learn to keep up with the camera and the game. LOL

Throughout my life i have been very lucky to have grown up with some very beautiful dogs, Tip here is no exception. She's an old lady now, not so fast on her feet nor willing to walk so far but every inch a beautiful dog.
Tip is the 5th of 6 dogs that have lived as part of my extended family to date, but every one has been a wonderful family member willing to accept a succession of young children tugging and tormenting, without ever turning a single growl. She joins a Spaniel, GSD Cross, English Bull Terrier and Golden Retriever before her and Sophie makes it 6.
I cannot imagine a life without dogs in the family though Tip may be the last of the English Bully's, with my cousins children as much as fully grown now, she is unlikely to be replaced.
