My favoured past time is throwing boomerangs at the universe, and wait for the boomerangs to return...b.mikic
"The game of life is a game of boomerangs. Our thoughts, deeds and words return to us sooner or later with astounding accuracy."

"Heavy, bitter rain.
Saturday night.
The news bulletin of 9 sells my loneliness, my life that slips.
But I still exist, I am still here.
I take a breath and color, I fly in another orbit.
Throw red in the night, throw oil to the fire.
From what I have experienced, I ask for more.
Hot, old rust.
It's raining tonight
The news bulletin of 9 sells the land, that falls in ruins rejoices
But I still exist, I am still here.
I take a breath and color, I fly in another orbit.
Throw red in the night, throw oil to the fire.
From what I have experienced, I ask for more."

Sandhill cranes (Antigone canadensis, Gruidae) come together before their migration south to warmer regions for the winter. Here they are collected at the White River Marsh State Wildlife Area in the Town of Seneca west of Berlin, Green Lake County, Wisconsin.
Cranes are known for throwing debris in the air. Sometimes they do it if they have a mouth full or debris with their prey. Often times, however, they toss stuff into the air as part of their "dance" rituals with other cranes. The dances may be associated with courtship or aggression when another bird gets too close.

Caught this little beauty awhile back. I was sitting on a rock having a water break when it flew right on to a leaf right in front of me. I just had to stand a tiny bit to capture shot.
